Raiders re-sign long snapper Jon Condo

The Raiders finally re-signed one of their own. They brought Jon Condo back for an 11th season as the Silver and Black’s primary long snapper, the team announced on Monday.

Condo is the first member of a 13-man free-agent class to stay put, after a mass exodus of largely replaceable depth players since the markets opened on March 9.

Condo is a leader on special teams and one of a few remaining players signed by late owner Al Davis. The two-time Pro Bowler has been steady over the years, and will continue working with punter Maquette King and Sebastian Janikowski next season.

Condo certainly wanted to return, and a reunion was expected. Well liked among his teammates and active in the community, Condo has been the Raiders long snapper since 2007. He has played in 160 NFL games, including 141 straight from 2007-15.
