OAKLAND -– The cornerbacks active for Thursday’s preseason finale against the Seattle Seahawks have a busy night ahead.

Available running backs will too.

That’s because the Raiders are sitting 18 players against the Seahawks.

If you’re coming to Coliseum, hope you didn’t pay full price.

The Raiders are mostly playing backups, as is customary for the last game of the preseason. Health is far more important than playing time in these situations, and most scratches are not injury related.

The Raiders enter this game with just four cornerbacks -– three will often be on the field at the same time -– which will give the Raiders plenty of time to decide whether TJ Carrie or Neiko Thorpe will play in the regular-season nickel package.

The Raiders will feature Latavius Murray, Jeremy Stewart and George Atkinson III at running back.

Even the starters scheduled to play won’t stick around long.

This game, especially in the latter stages, are reserved for the reserves.
