The Raiders invited several young players to join their rookie minicamp, with little hope of making the 90-man roster. The odds of joining the team were slim, but five players made the cut.

Undrafted rookie defensive back Chris Edwards, receiver Joe Hansley, defensive lineman Branden Jackson, running back Jalen Richard and offensive lineman Torian White were given free-agent contracts, the team announced on Monday.

With new coming in, some old was shown out.

That included defensive lineman Shelby Harris, a 2014 seventh-round pick who played eight games in two seasons. He had 12 tackles and a sack in seven contests last season.

Safety Tevin McDonald, who spent most of last year on the practice squad, was also released. He played in four games last year.

Undrafted free agent cornerback Tony McRae, signed a few weeks ago, was also cut.
