Raiders sign kicker, former chief Rayner

The Raiders have signed K Dave Rayner and waived DB Ron Parker, the team announced today.

Rayner was one of three kickers the Raiders worked out on Friday, in anticipation that Sebastian Janikowski will miss Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs with a hamstring injury.

Janikowski's 63-yard field goal against the Broncos in Week 1 tied an NFL record for the longest made FG in league history, and his three field goals of 50 yards or more against the Houston Texans on October 9 also tied an NFL single game record.

Rayner played for the Raiders' opponent on Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs, for 10 games in 2007 where he made 15 of 22 field goals and was 14-for-14 on PATs.

No official announcement has made on Janikowski's status.
