The Raiders signed free agent linebacker Philip Wheeler, the team announced Friday evening.
"We're excited to add another veteran to complement our talented linebacking group," said Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie. "He gives us a lot of athleticism and versatility. He's a player that can do a lot of things."
Wheeler started 11 games for the Colts last season, registering 43 tackles and one sack.
The Colts selected Wheeler in the 3rd round of the 2008 NFL after a fantastic collegiate career at Georgia Tech.
Wheeler started Super Bowl XLIV where the Colts lost to the New Orleans Saints.
