Former Raiders linebacker and current Packers director of football operations Reggie McKenzie will interview with Oakland for the position of GM, according to a published report.
The Chicago Sun-Times, citing an NFL, reported the development Wednesday. Earlier, the NFL Network, reported that McKenzie and Eliot Wolf are potential candidates for the top job with the Raiders.
The 48-year-old McKenzie has been in the Packers' front office since 1994. He was a 10th-round pick of the Raiders in 1984 and played with the team from 1985 to 1988.
Because the Packers season isn't over, McKenzie would not be allowed to formalize a contract with another team until Green Bay, the No. 1 seed in the NFC, is eliminated from the postseason.
