The Raiders are exploring a potential move to Las Vegas, and reportedly took another step this week.
The team on August 20, 2016 reportedly filed trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the "Las Vegas Raiders," according to Darren Heitner of Forbes.
The Raiders will play their home games in Oakland at the Coliseum in 2016. A trademark application does not guarantee a future move, either.
