Free-agent cornerback Tracy Porter agreed to terms on a contract to join the Washington Redskins. NFL Network reported the deal on Thursday morning.
Porter was with the Raiders last season, playing outside corner in the base defense and slot corner in the nickel package. Porter’s performance was inconsistent, and the Raiders planned on moving on after signing him to a one-year contract last offseason.
Porter had 54 tackles, two interceptions and a sack in 2013, though he allowed four touchdowns and a 93.7 passer rating. He struggled as the season went along and small injuries piled up.
