Could a Robert Gallery reunion be in the works?Would the Raiders' new regime even be interested in such a reunion? Should Oakland be intrigued? The former Raiders' left-tackle-of-the-future-turned-solid-left-guard will be released by Seattle after one injury-riddled season with the Seahawks, Gallery's agent, Rick Smith, Tweeted Wednesday evening.Gallery, the No. 2 overall pick of the 2004 draft, bolted Oakland for Seattle last summer to sign a reported three-year, 15-million contract. Surely, his price tag would have to come down.A return to Oakland, which he left with a bad taste in his mouth in the wake of Tom Cable's ouster, would not seem to be that far out of the question. Not with the changes afoot with the Raiders, from new owner Mark Davis to new general manager Reggie McKenzie to new coach Dennis Allen to the return of a zone-blocking scheme.REPORT: RG Brisiel to visit Raiders Thursday
Stefen Wisniewski, coming off a solid rookie year at left guard, could potentially move to center and if the Raiders are enthralled with Houston free agent right guard Mike Brisiel, they won't let him leave the building after his reported visit on Thursday. So, should the Raiders kick the tires on an old warhorse in Gallery, who turns 32 on July 26, or has that ship sailed?
