Sharks forward Adam Burish suffered an apparent left hand injury when he blocked a shot in during a game in Edmonton on Tuesday.

It happened with 5:58 to go in the second period, when defenseman Jeff Petry’s blast from high in the zone struck the forward. Burish was in obvious pain, and skated immediately off of the ice at Rexall Place and did not return.

The 31-year-old fourth liner is scoreless in 15 games this season. He made his season debut on Feb. 5, returning from back surgery in October.
