UPDATE (9:32 p.m.): Todd McLellan said Logan Couture was "fine" after the game, and is questionable to play in Edmonton on Tuesday night.

Sharks forward Logan Couture blocked a shot in the first period in Calgary on Monday, and was not able to finish the game.

Mark Giordano’s slap shot on a Flames power play appeared to hit Couture in the right ankle area with 2:56 to go in first period. The Sharks’ center stayed on the ice until San Jose cleared the zone, hobbled back to the bench, and promptly went to the dressing room.

He returned with less than eight minutes to go in the second period, but left the bench again after one shift and did not return.

Couture missed 16 games in February with a fractured hand. In 57 games this season, he has 19 goals and 28 assists for 47 points.
