The Sharks will play seven preseason games in preparation for the 2014-15 season, the team revealed on Thursday.
The Anaheim Ducks, Arizona (formerly Phoenix) Coyotes, and Los Angeles Kings will visit the SAP Center, while the Sharks will play games in Vancouver, Arizona and Anaheim. A split-squad game between the Sharks and Canucks on Sep. 23 will take place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver and Stockton Arena in Stockton, CA.
Stockton Arena opened in 2005, and is the home arena for the ECHL’s Stockton Thunder. The Sharks, who are still searching for an ECHL affiliate after the San Francisco Bulls folded mid-season in 2013-14, were partnered with the Thunder in 2010-11 through 2011-12.
General manager Doug Wilson said this week that the Sharks will have an ECHL affiliate in place before the upcoming season, but did not offer any further details.

The complete 2014-15 NHL regular season schedule is expected to be revealed on Sunday, June 22, and it’s conceivable that the league could also announce that the Sharks have been awarded an outdoor game.
Earlier this month, CSNBayArea.com learned that the Sharks are expected to host a game at either Levi’s Stadium or AT&T Park, with the Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings as the likely opponent.
According to a league source Levi’s Stadium, the future home of the 49ers set to open this fall, is currently the frontrunner to host the game but nothing has been finalized.
