SAN JOSE – In their home preseason finale, the Sharks dropped a 2-0 decision to Anaheim on Wednesday night at SAP Center.
San Jose is now 3-1-0 in exhibition season, with two games left to play. The Sharks had won their first three games, all in overtime, 3-2.

Anaheim scored both of its goals in the second period.
Corey Perry had an easy slam dunk at 7:42, receiving a dish from Ryan Kesler in front of the net to open the scoring.
Less than two minutes later, Jospeh Cramarossa skillfully slithered past Sharks defenseman Tim Heed between the circles and slipped the puck through Martin Jones’ five-hole at 9:15 for a dazzling score.
Playing in his second straight preseason game, Jones kept it scoreless in the first period with impressive stops on Mason Raymond and Shea Theodore. He played the entirety of the game for San Jose.
San Jose Sharks
Newcomer Mikkel Boedker played in his first game as a Shark, skating with center Tomas Hertl and right wing Joonas Donskoi. It’s expected that Logan Couture will center that line in the regular season.
Special teams
The Sharks earned just one power play, and didn’t convert. They are 2-for-14 in the preseason.
Anaheim was 0-for-5. San Jose is a perfect 16-for-16 on the penalty kill overall.
Local tough guys Micheal Haley and Jared Boll dropped the gloves with 6:44 to go in the second period in a spirited bout. Boll joined the Ducks from Columbus in the offseason on a two-year deal.
In goal
Jones allowed two goals on 21 shots, and is 1-1 in the preseason.
Jonathan Bernier went the distance for the Ducks, turning away all 22 shots he saw off of San Jose sticks.
Lineup
Anaheim iced a much more skilled lineup than San Jose, with Perry, Kesler, Ryan Getzlaf, Cam Fowler and Sami Vatanen all playing.
San Jose’s five best players – Couture, Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski, Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Brent Burns – have yet to make a preseason appearance.
Five Sharks have played in all four preseason games: Barclay Goodrow, Mirco Mueller, Kevin Labanc, Dylan DeMelo and Nikolay Goldobin.
