NHL Board approves lockout if no new CBA

NEW YORK -- The NHL Board of Governors unanimously approved Thursday Commissioner Gary Bettmans stance that a lockout will commence this weekend if a new CBA is not in place by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday.
No surprise.
There was little relevant new developments, no talks. Bettman said he is waiting for the union to respond to his last offer, which he has threatened to pull off the table.
Then again, Bettman insisted that is being inaccurately perceived by the media as a take it or leave it.
Well, Bettman has already stated hell pull the offer and that the union has to negotiate off its counter-proposal -- not the one the union submitted previously.
Said one angry player, Seems like hes continuing his trend of telling the player one thing and in public, saying the complete opposite.
