NHL, NHLPA won't meet Saturday

The NHL and NHLPA will not meet on Saturday, according to various reports, and a lockout will become official at 9:00 p.m. PST.

The beginning of the 2012-13 season, if not the entire season itself, is now in jeopardy as the sides remain far apart on key economic issues.

The Sharks were set to open training camp on September 21 and the regular season on Oct. 12 in Anaheim, but the likelihood of either of those occurring on time is slim to none. The two sides have been unable to reach an agreement on how to fairly distribute revenues, which reached 3.3 billion last season.
