Oilers, Bryzgalov agree to one-year deal

According to both TSN’s Aaron Ward and the Winnipeg Sun’s Ken Wiebe, the Edmonton Oilers and Ilya Bryzgalov have a deal in place which will bring the infamous goalie back to the NHL.

While financial compensation has yet to be revealed, it’s worth noting that Bryzgalov is to be paid $23 million from the Flyers over the next 14 years, which works out to $1.6 million per year. As such, he’ll stand to make a tidy sum this season.
