SAN JOSE – Sharks forward Adam Burish had pins inserted into two broken two fingers in his left hand, a team source told CSNCalifornia.com on Thursday.

Burish will miss at least the rest of the regular season but could return in the playoffs, which begin on April 16, or approximately three weeks.

The 31-year-old suffered the injury blocking a shot on Tuesday in Edmonton. He is scoreless with six penalty minutes in 15 games after making his season debut on Feb. 5, recovering from back surgery in October.
