The Sharks have reassigned forward Freddie Hamilton to Worcester, the team announced on Friday.

Hamilton, 21, is scoreless with a -1 rating in seven games with the Sharks this season. He was recalled on Dec. 8 and played in the previous three games.

The move could indicate that forward Mike Brown is healthy. Brown has not played since Dec. 3 in Toronto, missing the last five games with a lower body injury. He was placed on injured reserve the same day Hamilton and Matt Nieto were recalled from Worcester.

The timing was unfortunate for Brown, who scored a goal and registered a season-high four shots in almost nine minutes against the Maple Leafs. After the game, coach Todd McLellan labeled Brown and fellow fourth liners Andrew Desjardins and James Sheppard as “the difference in the game,” a 4-2 Sharks win.

Against Minnesota on Thursday, a 3-1 win, the Sharks’ fourth line consisted of Desjardins, Hamilton and Marty Havlat.
