Sharks' Marleau fine after 'serious' car accident

Sharks forward Patrick Marleau escaped injury after a reported "serious" car accident in San Jose, a team spokesman confirmed to CSNCalifornia.com.

According to the report, Marleau “was traveling on W. Taylor Street when his Mercedes collided with another vehicle.

“The conditions of the others involved in the accident is unknown at this time.”

Earlier on Tuesday, the Sharks gathered at their practice facility for a team workout.

Marleau, 34, has 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in 21 games this year. In 16 seasons all with San Jose, Marleau has 881 points (414 goals, 467 assists).
