Sharks trim training camp roster

SAN JOSE – As expected, the Sharks made a significant number roster cuts on their first day off of training camp on Tuesday.

Reassigned to AHL Worcester were forwards Jimmy Bonneau, Riley Brace, Chris Crane, James Livingston, Travis Oleksuk, Sebastian Stalberg and Marek Viedensky; defensemen Konrad Abeltshauser, Kyle Bigos, Dylan DeMelo; and goaltender J.P. Anderson.

San Jose’s roster now stands at 42 players.

The Sharks resume practice on Wednesday at Sharks Ice. They will remain split into two groups, with one group taking the ice at 10 a.m. and another at 11:30 a.m.

The Sharks won their first preseason game on Monday in Vancouver, 3-2, and host the Anaheim Ducks on Friday at the SAP Center and Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday.
