Steph had perfect reaction to his poor shooting in Warriors' win

The Warriors showed something Sunday as they were able to beat the Toronto Raptors 106-105 at Chase Center despite an uncharacteristic off night from Steph Curry.

Curry had been blistering hot all week leading up to Sunday, but the two-time MVP put up the worst shooting night of his career against the Raptors, going 2-for-16 from the floor and 1-for-10 from 3-point range. Despite Curry chucking up bricks all night the Warrior still were able to secure the win thanks to six other Warriors scoring in double figures.

Curry had the perfect response when asked if he ever thought he would have a shooting night as bad as the one Sunday.

"Well, I never thought I'd go 2-of-16," Curry told reporters after the game. "So I never even thought about that."

It's a fair point. Curry and the phrase "2-for-16" aren't exactly synonymous. Curry missed 13 consecutive shots against the Raptors. That's the most consecutive shots he has missed in a game in his career, surpassing the 11 straight shots he missed against the New Orleans Pelicans in 2015. However, Curry did find the silver lining in the fact that his teammates don't need him to be Superman for the Warriors to win games.

"It means obviously we're moving in the right direction," Curry said. "My offense, I expect it to be there every night. And obviously, with how teams are defending night to night, being able to figure that out, but in terms of us just having confidence across the board no matter who's out there on the floor, I think where we're at right now in terms of guys stepping up, us staying within ourselves, finding different ways to execute on that end of the floor.

"But we don't win a game like this without our defense, taking strides in the right direction. We all understood that tonight and definitely that won us the game with how ugly that second half was on the offensive end."

Curry likely won't have a night like Sunday again for quite some time. But it's encouraging for the Warriors that they were able to notch an important win while the three-time NBA champion was as cold as he has ever been.
