49ers' Manusky set to interview for Panthers job

The Panthers are looking to replace John Fox, who spent nine seasons as head coach. The Panthers own the No. 1 overall pick in the draft after posting a 2-14 record. RELATED: NFL Team Stats
Manusky has served as 49ers defensive coordinator the past four seasons. The 49ers ranked 13th in the NFL in total defense this season.He came to the 49ers in 2007 after working under Marty Schottenheimer five seasons as San Diego Chargers linebackers coach. He also worked under Schottenheimer for one season with the Washington Redskins. He played 12 seasons in the NFL as a linebacker and special-teams player with Washington, Minnesota and Kansas City.
