Tim Lincecum might be the most accomplished free agent pitcher on the market this offseason, but he isn't expected to draw interest from teams soon.

Lincecum, who is recovering from September hip surgery, is planning to hold a showcase for teams in January, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports.

The initial time table for recovery from hip surgery to repair a torn labrum and fix an impingement was five months. Lincecum is reportedly ahead of schedule and will meet with his surgeon in December to devise a plan.

"I’m pretty confident I’m going to be ready for spring training," he said in late September.

The 31-year-old veteran believes he can regain velocity after intensive rehab and wants to remain a starter, according to the report.

Lincecum went 108-83 (.565) with a 3.61 ERA and 1,704 strikeouts to 646 walks over nine seasons with San Francisco. His accolades include three World Series titles, two Cy Youngs and four All-Star Games.

He is an unrestricted free agent after fulfilling his two-year, $35 million contract with the Giants.
