If all goes according to plan, LeBron James will become the NBA's all-time leading scorer at some point next season. Draymond Green plans to be there to witness history even if the Warriors have a game that night.
On the latest episode of "The Draymond Green Show," the All-Star forward claimed he'd skip the Warriors game to watch James pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. How does head coach Steve Kerr feel about Green's plan to see James' milestone? Simple, he just hopes the Warriors play the Los Angeles Lakers on that night.
"Well, that would be ideal," Kerr said laughing when asked by 95.7 The Game's "Damon & Ratto" if it would be awkward if James was playing the Warriors that night. "That way, he doesn't have to miss a game, and he gets to witness it. That's what I'm hoping for."

With history in James' sights, it wouldn't be far-fetched for the NBA to schedule a Lakers-Warriors game around the projected time of the milestone. The NFL did it when they scheduled Tom Brady's return to New England to be the same game Brady broke the all-time passing mark.

As for the rest of this season, the Warriors currently own the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference but are trying to tread water until Steph Curry returns from a sprained ligament in his left foot.
James and the Lakers, meanwhile, are fighting to hold on to a spot in the play-in tournament.

The Warriors and Lakers will play one more time this season when they meet at Chase Center on April 7.
