On the other side is Chris won't check. Former all America at Harvard getting -- coach. Add to the school you played out pretty good deal -- -- dream come true for me come back and coach Nomar that's great and I've built tyranny. Listen to this 22 seasons -- Denver but 22 seasons at Princeton six NCAA title. Ten final fours and a bad joke and we had a guy and where and where are you. Our floor director he's seen everything. He -- your heavy -- on. But yet He shows up you don't let that affect and it should just -- shake bill's hand did just that this is almost embarrassing He was gushing over you look at. In other areas of the great. Wasn't that great -- -- I don't know that it strikeout rate and blessed goal before you know before He passed away with a -- bill tourney so. And he's gonna go light CF RF that's great but you get a lot of that go in the community that you are elected John Wooden of lacrosse. As I always say when people sort compare me -- those kind of people of means. He's just get one step closer to the grave it's I'm good enough to try my best than moved to Denver in a couple years ago and really excited yeah. Come from Harvard your great success in Princeton. Without overdrawn it. It seems to be an intelligent man sport come across. Could you tell me your best teams are Ivy League now I think it's certainly a sport where the F. The the kids who grew up playing and are still feel kids of that you know in stature that wanna go to great schools like that. Yeah I'd say all the Ivy League schools are very serious blow across and really the dynamic of the sport today the kids that are grown up playing. Highly attractive to the Ivy League schools you know fortunately it in two additions and get them in and each each school -- supports their programs it's important. The game has changed a little bit though from ten years ago -- You have to to make it a little more appealing to the average hitter have I guess people in the in the sport tell me if not the same thing was ten years ago your great. I agree you know the -- the sticks the technology are all help the younger kids who started to come into the game help but be a little bit easier start. We certainly had amazing television coverage -- up to. Almost a hundred games a year of college games are being shown throughout the country so I think that's really helped there. It's -- fastest growing youth sport in the country and you know -- the level the level the athlete. Playing the game today is just raise the you know the whole level of the game and you know it certainly it has evolved you know ever since I was going back in the mid ninety's when you are America's I'm curious what you play football because you're always associated. You know rough tough kids football and lacrosse for Jim Brown is it gives you Jim Brown play I don't mean today -- you feel now I'm not only is this what about the W Thompson He was probably the most famous lacrosse player record -- NFL hall of Famer all that why did you play football like a couple of soccer in college as well play two sports in but football's killing me but I you know I just under point sock when I was younger. There aren't there are a number of football lacrosse players out there right now. I think lacrosse combines all sports soccer football basketball hockey so you get a crossover in a number of sports you recruit hard coach and recruit hard. Could -- it's been fun to move out to Denver you know it's only two teams. West of the Mississippi and that's us and an air force academy and play division one lacrosse. Probably easier recruited Denver than it is ideally yeah. She might as it did you could -- -- I don't know I've highlighted now if you're really good you can get in again you can get in our maturity should always right I don't know element Vincent was a little tougher but yeah. -- -- you know with -- a -- out here. -- lacrosse are you -- at northern California absolutely of -- from northern California and that's one of the reasons we're here this weekend at the other good blood that you came out here just He. You -- the Internet and like almost message America -- -- but so. Kids yet I guess you can't name any kids coming lacrosse players here are division one. Caliber you know the a number of programs are starting -- into at all you know division one lacrosse players of the last two years. It was just great exposure for our program in one of the fastest growing errors in the country. It's a great experience for our kids get out here a lot of my kids haven't haven't been off the East Coast so in the fall the games don't count you know how great opportunity to play a final fourteen. And have a great weekend. Sampras Jim Carter -- memory. We do. Played against us when we played originally he's a great star in this from the city right hands and now we have five California kids on our team now -- one two northern California kids so it's two as Chris said it's really growing in this era. And for us it's we can tell they're going east but it's only two hours does -- know Stanford's. Oh you know we -- we can plot to fuel Matty and I feel sorry for Chris because He can't go again. Your school Harvard. They are going to be -- -- you know you're going to get whoever you want right now. I'm -- -- -- should be happy with that said if you're -- -- Canadian players right at you you're you're recruiting out he's leaving the country -- it's -- -- -- it certainly means a great job recruiting you know and obviously combine -- with -- excellent coaching -- -- that -- in their final -- last year but you go to Canada that. Really kind of left that everybody you know most teams have Canadian kids -- 300 Canadian kids playing collegiate lacrosse and US. We just have to do a better job of teaching our young kids how to play box across and scored goals like that didn't -- what's. The shot clock -- keep here and -- You give across the shot clock in the sport will take off here in the United States. -- by that there's other experimenting with a few games on the East Coast this weekend the shot clock you know there's been grumbling about you know the game is slow down and you know potential of the shot clock they're gonna test -- out this week and see how it goes in you know assess it and go from there -- -- how they -- you you guys. I -- -- Denver. And Harvard how bad I mean all the teams in the country why you to I can understand your legendary coach they wanna see you walk up and on the sidelines but how that you don't -- But of other pick. We have a number of all Harvard belongs out here on guys that -- the cross in the eighty's and ninety's have come out here. Help develop and grow the game out here that are involved with the base foundation. You know I think they put -- good word in and I think probably presents an outright for it that Alaska how He got out of our works how long you been doing this coach. I've been that well Princeton 22 and this is my third at Denver three and Hopkins -- -- -- alrighty so whatever that adds up to look at good good amount in seven years and I school's going -- forty years of coaching in. It's still enjoying every minute of it. Yeah and I it's terrific get a real pleasure Amaechi I wasn't joking I mean -- like I said on type a show like this all the big names come through and -- -- And a great you know just don't -- any coffee but -- him you know -- -- -- -- tyranny coming as a surgeon took it people get a kick out of that so they had this. That said -- cab to get you right right and to get otherwise would have been no show -- we called the -- whether it's and help the help that they arrived -- -- you could have broken. Seven year old man's heart you know -- -- are tomorrow are we gonna see you guys are right I guess offseason little bit up. With this exhibition but you still got your big guns ready to go in the through our guys. I and you know see we have this is the first opportunity competing against another team. Against a great program so you know frost is just. You go out there play see who we have and and go from there aren't you guys going out tonight have a little fun. We were both waiting for a team teams around Wright yeah you've just to -- and we get here early -- we came out early to talk to you not on the team. Better for you guys you go out do your thing and in one embarrassing yourself for the kids who go. We've done enough they were nice to meet you coach that can all kidding aside everybody and around the sport -- we are -- hang in there. You know thirty mourn the anomaly is nobody over -- you a little bit -- He had a head start -- you. All right who's won a national Yankee start tomorrow you guys and actually.
