Harbaugh meets the press at the NFL scouting combine.
I mean that that Clinton. Talked extensively about that in. You know this is my first time going through this and certainly -- -- make the mistaken -- hand what we're where we're due. But they -- about a lot and like like every position our team really thinking through how we can. Upgrade our roster. And you know the ways that you mentioned are there are the ways to address the quarterback situation you guys that are on our roster there's there's. One quarterback under us and that's David Carr. You mentioned Alex Smith is an unrestricted free agent. So -- and decisions to make you. And then evaluate free agency by UA. You know trade paths the draft I mean those are those options. -- No. Now the real benefit for the benefit of the to run. Well -- the complexity is you know. Understand the rules -- -- is doesn't wanna work on football but you know right now is not a period time where. We can do that. I'm an optimist you know and I'm a look at it that way that you know plan for the -- offseason. As if there is going to be no. Destruction so. You know scheduling. Offseason workouts. We work outs. Mini camps. -- that are just planning. For there'd be no interruption and then if there is that we'll have to adjustment if everybody be under the you know the same. Parameters in that regard so but you know. I'm optimistic that something -- -- -- Well. You know you could you could say that -- just you know it's a disadvantage for us. You know you know we having given our players and he -- Campbell playbook or they don't know what. What are schemes are but no just it's up to us to adjust to overcome any and all obstacles that are out there and and will think through it and and and come up with a plan. -- I mean. Quarterback position is. Is a critical position. Quarterback handles apology Nolan and every single offensive snaps so you know it's it's important -- that evaluation right now that's. You know I feel like my job right now is is too. You give the best possible a valuation. Of these quarterbacks that are in the draft. As as I possibly can so. Study them on tape see what their production was in college then. As we go through this process get a chance to to meet them understand you know do you love football. Do you like to work at the game you know how much they understand the game will -- -- -- fit for our for our team I mean that's but those are all critical evaluations. -- Not a great love for Michigan. A look -- -- that was my university. Stamper was my university to you oval follows. Those those universities I consider my university and and both would have been great options you know but you know alternately was -- on the level of of competing at the highest level. Eating even playing field with the National Football League is -- you know that's that's a that's a challenge and competitive. Situation it that I will only accept it and and had no second thoughts about the decision. Extremely enthusiastic. And a walk through the doors in the of the San Francisco facility every single day -- If you are walk through those doors you walk through and you you're staring at five Lombardi trophies. And you know pictures on the wall the great players and great coaches and and you understand that you know the legacy that. You know Bill Walsh created the George -- created the bars that. Hi you know and where else would you once that Sola. And that's that's kind of stuff -- we've -- Lot of advice and there we never. We never coached. Together we've never worked together. Professionally. Played at some teams baseball team's football team's growing up hockey teams. But. And Hart we've always been on the same team. Least that's the way I feel about it in. If that's gonna change this year at least one week when the when 49ers play the Baltimore Ravens and it'll be. Extremely competitive in. And you know. Must win type -- game for for for the San Francisco 49ers.
