It is a blog yet as your Raiders inside a preseason California dot com I'm here in Alameda at the Raiders compound the home base for the silver and black. Looking forward this coming weekend's game against the Denver Broncos at the coliseum. What is going to be just like this a little bit rainy should set up some interesting matchup so the Raiders still have hopes of qualifying for the playoffs. They need a little bit to help but it all starts this coming weekend we need to went out and get some help along the way. This week you know against the Broncos. Raiders are still entertaining thoughts that 59 to fourteen historic thrashing of the Broncos in the mile high city back on October 24. -- -- with a huge chip on the shoulder they'll the for a little bit of payback so with that in mind let's look forward to a couple of match -- Key matchups to keep an eye on this weekend at the coliseum. First match of that that really intrigues me is. Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd from the Broncos going up against the the raiders' secondary and really when you think of the other teams elite receivers automatically you think of cover corner and on the awesome law. Well -- these sprained right ankle which he hurt. Back at Halloween is nowhere near where it was before. Honestly you'll you'll be hard pressed to find any receiver any player for that matter. It's close on percent at this point in the season that's why to me it's gonna come down the Stanford -- in the bird dog in the guy's got a shadow rattle it around. -- noise coming in with a huge season breakthrough season 63 catches. 11185. Yards nine touchdowns I asked Stanford earlier this week. What he thought what he saw in Brandon Lloyd and here's what's -- -- sail locker room. He's in his system did. My guess it you know he knows it is he's going to be out there every play he knows you know quarterbacks trying to give him the ball player would have quarterback as good ball placement. And despite a signal continuity that -- a lot of success in a lot of ways but you know. That's something that a lot of people really got. No doubt noticed a respect as much as you know just flat out of town home field -- Condo he plays a big party. Another key matchup to keep an eye on his quarterback play. For the Raiders Jason Campbell he's coming off what coach Tom cable called his finest again. Finest game as a raider take that however you want he had a great game though he's -- actually the last time he played the Broncos was kind of his breakout game. This past weekend he was perfect at halftime with a perfect quarterback rating. Against the Broncos back in October he had his highest personal passer rating one point seven point nine. Stared at him from across the line of scrimmage is gonna be inside linebacker Mario -- Mario was leading the Bronx the fights actually hasn't had really much success against -- the Raiders in his career does not have a sack against them he's gonna be looked at it trying to. Better those numbers this weekend at coliseum. We can't talk about the greater -- without talking about their most explosive player. There most exciting player the most fun player watch it's Darren McFadden run DNC is only seven yards away. From his first 1000 yard rushing season in his career here in his third season in the NFL. McFadden not only is is leading the the Raiders rushing attack. When he's a hybrid running back so his 130. Yards from scrimmage average per game that's second in the NFL. He's gonna go out there he's gonna get a space he's trying to create some things well but right there in his way is gonna be the other Bronco inside linebacker DJ Williams a Bay Area guy with a high school out here. He knows the Raiders through thick and -- he's been a thorn in their side. Forever he's actually leading that the Broncos in tackles he's got over a hundred tackles against them the Raiders in his career so that is going to be one huge matchup to watch to see if he stocks out. McFadden from the backfield. On either side and going up the middle. So that's different for this week's match -- be sure to join me an hour before kick off on Sunday about twelve noon I'll be in the in the in the press wants hopefully staying -- we'll do alive -- CS and California dot com. We'll type it to then take care of things info login in.
