I'm saying I'm excited about watching a lot of our pieces. Finally come out -- played together for an extended period time NC where -- you. Know. No I I don't think I need to build up any football players I think what is its border war control and obviously everyday normal work. Inch from your -- and I think that's -- young men on obviously you need to go do in the game and I think she will listen or watch him play this week. What are the things you learn from watching film on the raiders' offense last year went help them. -- was any one reason was that the quarterback no. -- I'm not once I think is everything I don't think it was the quarterback and a bag with the office of my I think more so than anything last year flashy. You know when I came in and took a peak. I said hey the most important thing I told the -- and until the players whatever is gone on here in the past really doesn't matter. Was what we do from this point on and they've done everything about them. They've worked hard I've seen us get better. It Dallas I've seen us get better in Chicago last week -- unfortunate about the turnovers. But I watched this team get better and everything -- -- you gentlemen do they've done so I try not to. Go back to what has happened here and -- was the most important thing for me when I got here I was sad to think he. To make a decision about a job about a situation for myself personally. But what I've seen is this is a fine fine organization. Led by a fine man and Al Davis with a good head coach in Tom cable and I see an opportunity here for us to get the Raiders back on the winning. -- It's. I sure one -- -- except they -- ahead in that direction is no question about that I think our guys understand what we're opposite which -- of notably. You know we want to go back and take our football team and understand what the Raiders tradition and I think every player that -- at -- and understand. What we're trying to do here each and every day. And it's about competing some of one out there everyday and being in the past and which you -- And I think our guys are taken it you know. Well there's no question Tom -- one of those old throwback to let it Islanders get actors and so in and we kind of -- with a little -- -- -- -- to what we do and I think our players enjoy it. I think you guys have talked about players I think they'd like to direction we're heading and that's the biggest thing there's a confidence about this -- And it permeates everywhere and it's not just our team and equipment on this in the weight. You know that's what our media people was everywhere that this is a different time and raider football and I'm excited about it and we all. Do you feel it. Again appreciate. No question I am I am really looking forward to and I've been on the other side you know coaching against. Obviously this past season in Baltimore and I can feel just drive and up to the stadium the fans it was about the parking lots and how much it means. To the fans about winning here in what they know about the readers. And that's what we want him back and not for fans before our organization. I mean I mean I think is so important. That we do everything we can't as coaches and players that put us back to what was rightfully belong among the elite teams in this league. -- You know our whole thing is that they're keeping score everything's important. Mean I don't I don't know I just kinda way I am and they don't keep a -- -- and I think that's -- players. And now we're gonna walk out there and are comfortable out there would wanna typically what wanna play to win and I just going out there by. And anytime we take the field -- worn that uniform that's what our intention political. It. His ability to -- me. You know I think is very important that the quarterback is able to take players and get those guys around him to follow. To understand exactly what the message is that's being sent. Not just on the field off off the field and I think we get four very capable guys work at every day. I feel good about that direction we're more. -- I think the biggest I think for a football team right now just gain experience with me and him. You know just us spending time together and them understanding exactly what I'm looking for how I want it done. And I think our guys are doing that. I really believe them not to -- there -- players to a man it's been very fun for me you know sometimes you go places and people put a stop sign until they get to know he. Our guys have really embraced my. Attitude and the things that I'm looking for because the bottom line is we want to win. And we expect to win here and that's the difference there's an expectation here the Raiders are supposed to win. And that is our expectations and that's what we're gonna do. It'll look good on the staff who have all played you know who do you know -- You play cards. I think every you know every stat pastor you just mentioned that we have some guys just holder Paul Hackett and call plays in the and a National Football League and that's -- -- to be able to bounce different things off of them but you know as anything there's got to be 1 morning. You know -- as you move forward and I do take a little bit from where -- talked Achilles in profile and Henry Chris Morgan jacked up all of -- about what we need to get them but when it's all said and done. -- make that decision about that. -- Obviously I have a I have a history would count but obviously mr. Davis when he was able to Washington to along with the bases -- does that imply. And I know -- and he's he's come here and done. -- -- -- -- Well but when you we get really get a chance in the year we were in there and appreciate did get hurt before we end up let him go you know but. As a tremendous competitor likes to play. And a good young man and I'm glad he's here. My guys I mean is is a dream come true for me be very which is to have an opportunity to work mr. Al Davis. I'm being very sincere when -- tell -- that that man is -- he is walking for. And I am being very series is nothing about football that you can't talk to miss Davis about and you guys talk about it resource that is when the biggest resources and our field. Is mr. Davis and and obviously it flows but -- came back home. Being back in California have been on the East Coast I've been a -- less -- a -- there's nothing like being home and I wanna come back here and help restore. They're great tradition here and that's why it took just. Because I think it's a place that's very special. I think we have special friends and I think we have a special opportunity. Very often and very often because again. -- let's make no bones about this is this horrible. An hour really I have great respect for that I've -- -- a lot of different owners in this league did and Snyder's distinguish bodies. Dome in Atlanta you know and they are fine fine man but this guy knows as much about football. And he is as sharp about football is any man I've ever been around so to have a resource like that that it will be music I don't think there's more remarkable. And I just watch and how he. Random draft I mean again this is an exciting time in my opinion ratings mean we've had an outstanding draft we brought some great players here. And now there's. The leadership puzzle is an obvious Edwards and forced to have an opportunity to have something special happen. Big but you don't.
