Welcome to the contest more -- studios I'm Henry will over the San Francisco 49ers remain undefeated fifteen to ten win over the Minnesota Vikings. Right now coach singletary is stepping up to the podium and will. -- from now on office was in good rhythm at the beginning I thought. Alex did a good job. Coming out. The end you know have on offense. -- into the groove in. The biggest thing on that I was disappointed in who were not able to run the ball. I think. You know and our offense. Really in any offense you can't run the ball you have problems. But I thought we dated a pretty decent job even though we couldn't run the ball being efficient. In now getting first downs. Our first enough first and ten I think maybe there. The first 451. And ten and we were we were awful we reduce did not do very well. The end for the first time in -- time went on third down we we did pretty well. The unity game. I was I was disappointed in terms of how we finished. The don't put ourselves and difficult situation. That we really did not have to be. There's no way in the world is no reason that we needed to be in that situation where we get an onside kick -- the unity game. I defensively I thought. Travis LaBoy for his first time back authority did a decent job. About applying some pressure in the end I'm sure the felt his presence out there. The -- Briggs for the second week. I thought did did a nice job he was tired -- we just told him to suck it up and get in there and play. So. But overall I I thought it was good decent went forth we got a lot of work to do a lot of work to do. I told our young guys before we play this game that we're playing against did the number one. Right. Team against the run. In the past maybe 45 years and now I'm sure they'll take my word after after. Play in this game. So while. Lotta Lotta things to learn from this game a lot of good film to look at. And really evaluate where we are as an offense and and that defense. My thought Adrian Peterson. You know got some some good runs outside kind of bounced him outside. And now we we just have to do better job in in those areas and make sure that everything stays inside. In if you don't get to the sideline we have someone supporting outside. Other than that I'll just ego would ever question -- and you're being. And struggles. I don't know miracle to -- Have you seen him -- he. You know forward. Well I think there's a reason he had happy feet. Third hole he's gonna hit it. However what he has been learning even if there's not a whole sometimes you have to hit it and it eventually works itself out. But I think that's being a rookie and I think that's the system. Not happening. The discipline of staying in that hole and and trusting those guys to -- portion. And something's gonna open here you just gotta keep get keep trusting it. But I thought the Dixon and we did okay but tonight he really dance a lot and I really think that happens more to do with. Minnesota's defensive line then. Then his instinct. Do a lot of deception first is pretty much right. Did you just want to just match -- game and see what you guys really gets around yeah. Does that's the -- that is -- There's really good to -- situation to have this early in the pre season. To have the opportunity to play a really good run. Defense and have our young guys have that experience. I mean us us about it's good it's gonna get. -- so now we have to you have to learn from that and Dixon learn from that is welcome I'm I'm sure he's gonna see some. Some plays where he if you just stuck with a decent little bit more just hit it. That something more what happened so. The world will learn from. Give -- he's human and her last yeah person. Pop open and didn't really not only did. Yeah. Well I think it -- -- It's all about just continuing to. Two to get better. Each week. We have to go back to work this weekend. He can now continue to to gain that that complements continue to get in that rhythm. I continue. Hopefully get some more guys back. Media Vernon Crabtree get Knowles got back and have often so -- intact. And really really get on rhythm with -- every one so I think that's that's part of the process. I was I do you do now front and -- right that's what the safe -- outfielder do we do without. Those guys and don't. You know I I think. When I've I've heard that -- you know Alex. Alex Smith have to play. Without gore you have to play without -- you have to play -- Crabtree but to me. You have receiver did you play with them and I think. You've got to make the situation better. If you good quarterback you gotta make the situation better so. I don't ever look at you know Woody did without those guys because at some point in time during the season you may not happen. And now what do you do that so I just think that. I thought he did a good job overall. I would happens and take notice that what was your impression Nate Davis. There's up and down just like he wants. I just. -- inconsistent. I think he's a guy that's got a lot of flash he's got a big arm like a lot of kids a lot of young -- but you have to learn how to play to position. You have to learn how to command -- -- you have to learn how to get people in and out of the huddle. And in have a presence about you and I just feel that. He's he's fuel learning how to do that and I don't know how long it's gonna take. Don't I don't know how much time we have. But I just think it's. It's it's nice to see him they're renowned and make some nice through them and -- you know there's one play I talked about in particular you gotta know the first down marker. -- you don't just fall that would mean. Don't you start. But. Anyways so we just have to do a better job. Playing the game of football and playing to win so that that's something that you just have to do a better job. Your main concerns that this coming into the game was walking into the big -- and -- it and okay we wouldn't. Put him into a lot of situation where. He really had to to block who we didn't make it difficult for me just have to count a guy and there it is. But. Obviously. He's getting better but he missed a couple looked tonight -- well. Sort of profit. We have we're football team that like this that we young. And Ichiro right now the inexperience. We have to grow up in a hurry and get ready for tremendous season coming up fast. So. I am excited about it getting back and watching the film and and learning what we can learn from this and then go forward. It's hard it's -- Davis and compete for the backup job is that even in your mindset right now argued let me just ask that. Q did you did on the same page and it. So where you're -- -- -- I think you have to get on the same page in in and really put himself in -- position. Too well to really compete I I just think right now is competing against themselves I really do. I I really like to kid did a lot to like about him. But there there's the work ethic. That's involved in terms of being the quarterback in the NFL they're usually work ethic and and you gotta get it. If the symbol of that salaam. Stumbling point I'm open. But their -- -- In consistently. It's funny it's. Actually see him I don't know I don't really care about body language I didn't want him when he on the field and execute. I don't I don't the other stuff I don't really some quarterbacks come off the sideline and look awful they go and eight great game great win. So. I don't really really care about that. I'm not sure if you're the third game next week so people look at the third exhibition game. Yeah getting ready season and you look at it. Well I think. I know traditionally that is the way that everybody doesn't it. You know being up 49 and we may -- little differently but I I think the most important thing growth. Is in this next game this third game that we play I depend on what we need to see depend on what we need to accomplish. And I think we're gonna base whatever we do all of that. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- He's he's what was supposedly. It's just wanted to do. Get a -- reform we we felt like. We felt like we we wanted to to let it go a bit. In -- how we responded on the back in. Induced. See how it worked out. I don't know my when you lead changes a moment ago about Nate Davis uses phrases work ethic as we work ethic that quarterbacks that have. I'm not sure exactly what you mean -- free. I would be more than happy to explain it. Right now Nate Davis is working his appeal to try and and learn the system. But in the offseason. -- when you take the time to get that done. And I'm not sure how hard he worked this offseason and getting that done. So when I talk about work ethic needs you just can't turn it on and turn it off -- another -- training camp -- you don't really trying I'm really trying to give you know what the offseason. We're in OT AU mean. The mini camps and all those things that's when you have to get that done enough when you have to. You don't stay up and drive coaches crazy and look at film and ask all the questions that you possibly can. And I'm not sure that that he did that. So. Right now -- -- it's it's it's a lot that he has to get in the short amount of time. So hopefully hopefully he can do that I don't know we'll see. Art and I didn't anger over here. There you have it San Francisco 49ers improved at 210 what about fifteen -- ten win over the Minnesota Vikings. -- boy coach singletary had a lot to say a lot of it was about his number three. Quarterback Nate Davis and you saw the tail -- nobody questioned Nate. Davis' work ethic not doing the season not door in the pre season but during the offseason mini camps OT days. Nate Davis has a lot to work on -- right now and coach said he hopes he gets that he's not sure if you will.
