You know I even -- -- Talking -- in terms of you know answered questions -- talking unionizing share my thoughts about things. You know -- in a -- as well. And so it is that you saw -- came up in in my thoughts about how meaningful it is to be in this position again in my career and you know so that's where the emotion came from -- what's your favorite quality about fish. This toughness. So good she's very very very very tough. Mentally and physically millionaires and backed down from me here anyway. It is tough any -- big get. Big shots Kobe had a nice game less than a shot at a lot he's got a shot 29 times score 29 but it was Derek Fisher Doc Rivers Cameron out at a they won the game last night because of the player Derek Fisher in particular. In the fourth quarter let's bring in a match stock investors -- SN Bay Area back -- cover Derek Fisher. As a warrior very briefly who's been here a couple of years Mullen -- that you'd six year 37 million dollar contract why did not workout for. For Derek Fisher with the Warriors of the many. Well basically they traded for baron Davis and and that was the end of Derek Fisher is a starter he signed with the Warriors to be the starting point guard. And he was the starting point guard and then the Warriors traded for baron Davis and and you know obviously this is you know this is kind of what we're talking about Baron Davis is -- more skilled player than Derek Fisher probably better. Obviously a better player than Derek Fisher but Derek Fisher's got intangibles that you cannot measure and that are very valuable to a basketball team. He just makes big big it. Shots remember game five of the 2004 western finals against San Antonio and was tied 22 disperse the defending NBA champions and they had a but inbound the ball the Lakers at -- point four on the clock -- Duncan just made a shot and he made that incredible three. It is slower and didn't really realize that they got off in time and he's made. Some of the biggest shot I'm Barbara Robert -- made some big shots but and championship like he's made some of the bigger shots in the NBA in the last ten years. You could make a case the shot against the Spurs was was a lucky shot. But then you go back to just last year against Orlando Magic. You it's a game tying shot that sends -- game into overtime. On the last second -- it's the biggest shot in overtime. There's certain guys -- just rise for the occasion and and Derek Fisher one of them if you look at his numbers. -- three point shooting percentage I guarantee you is much lower than you think it's it's well below 40%. But I'll tell you what if you measure the meaningful shots the shots in the last 23 minutes of a ball game -- it's over 40% he's just got a knack. You know who he reminds me of member Dennis -- sure not run DJ was a Phoenix -- because he was a great player younger won a title there. Ratcheted -- when -- -- -- Seattle eleven anyway when he got to Boston Dennis Johnson would miss every single shot the first 45 minutes of the game. And had burger -- I'll throw a lot of a double team and DJ would make. Big big shots you seal a little DJ and Derek Fisher. A little bit I think that. I think Dennis Johnson was that was certainly -- more well rounded guard. Fisher Price could shoot the ball a little better but I think Dennis Johnson was a much better defender even though Fisher's got a little bit of a reputation. As a defender but. If you remember Dennis Johnson he would match up with Magic Johnson. In NBA finals in fact in 1984. The key move in that series was when the Celtics moved Dennis Johnson off the -- ought to Magic Johnson. Magic Johnson -- -- 35 turnovers in that series it was which was an NBA finals record at times so. Dennis Johnson. I think is is a borderline hall of Famer Fisher. I don't think as a hall of Famer. Why how you have to acknowledge this see here's the thing Greg I'd never say a bad word about Derek Fisher anymore because you can never win an argument when you're talking about Derek Fisher. If you put him down you're denigrating him because he's got four rings. He's -- -- the big shot in NBA history and his resume is impeccable so. -- kind of fighting a losing battle if you wanna really criticize and for the flopping and maybe some of the histrionics the fact he's not a very good finisher around the basket. His strengths far outweighs weaknesses he actually -- Some -- -- some eyebrows around the NBA before the finals started he was quoted as saying. If I played for the Celtics they would have by number retired at. In the rafters like Dennis Johnson's number three Amy Jo-Jo white tennis up there now at least nineteen it up there even the Greg jungle Gemma -- -- top. They has his number retired in the at the Boston Garden in new guard in the old garden. He has a point to make the Lakers don't retire. Anybody in last year Elgin -- -- western you're that Hall of Fame but if he was a Celtic he got to make the point that that Derek Fisher would have is -- Retired I absolutely I mean you cannot. Think this thing about Derek Fisher I wanna get back to a little bit what Kobe said about his toughness. That's the thing about Derek Fisher. That to me that mitigates. The -- you know he's such an -- grew to get away. He's a whopper there's just no doubt about it. But on the other hand he is unbelievably tough he just never gives in. He's willing to give up his body wouldn't fight around screens he's willing to take a hit when he drives to the basket. I am not saying by any stretch of the imagination that Derek -- a perfect player. I even a huge fan of his but again. When it comes to winning when it comes -- making big shots. This guy is second to none at this point -- I think Robert Horry has made more big shots and Fisher. And I on the other end of the floor after Ray Allen torched them for eight threes a game to reverting to say they got a good finish off a Ray Allen right -- out of he's held Friday -- completely down last night he won that game for the Lakers less than many thank you so much for your insight.
