We go from San Francisco all the way to Boston mass to go deep on this story with the man who broke it Comcast sports new England's own -- Rob Blake Lee. And -- -- let's talk about this is this -- -- feeling that's been thrown out or is there -- some meat to Monta for Ray Allen. I think right now it's it's just a feel out their but I think a lot will depend on how awesome response that you know that this kind of stuff is thrown out there for one reason one reason only to see. If another team is -- to sit in and biting on and from what I gather nice talking to people the Celtics are not interest that it necessarily in this still right now but again we've got a lot of time between now and trade deadline and as we know things can happen and change very quickly. February 18 is indeed the trade deadline with that said this season been all about chemistry Chirac go back to the LA championship do you think. Monta would be any kind of fit in there current or future plans. Oh he'll be a fit he'd be a bad fit. Okay that's an interesting is destructive right now because it thing about Monta and he's so great with the ball in his hands and -- a ball and that's -- that's a skill that very few players I think an NBA possessed but you put among the Celtics team you got Rajon Rondo who was the face of the franchise moving forward who needs some ball in his hands to be effective and two of those guys in the backcourt is a bad mix. And it and again that there's a number of reasons why as good a player as Monta Ellis is I don't think he's an ideal fit for the Celtics but the thing is that thing you gotta remember. -- is it is illustrates that maybe taken a gamble on guys that you don't maybe don't necessarily fit. You know what to expect a Celtic player to be a mean he had some interest and Allen Iverson this year a guy that if you look at the way this team is constructed. Allen would not be a natural fit but there was some interest so. I don't think anything is gonna come about but certainly I think the NEA's let the very least listen so -- a possible trade. Monta has never been hotter in an NBA uniform but he has this year but let's talk a little bit about the finances of the situations trades also have to make financial sense for both teams. To go ahead and pull the trigger on it but with that saying ray Allen's contract is expiring so -- who also have to be thrown and for this to make sense for both teams. Well you know red makes about nineteen million this year in and from Golden State standpoint they would have sent Monta and another player just looking at that Ross of the guy that would in all likelihood they try to include an ideal is Radmanovic who he's got a player option after this season but which I don't think -- exercise because. This is a -- LeBron if you if you it best if you name is a LeBron or James you're not gonna get paid this summer and so I don't expect him opt out and so with that being said. You know the Celtics will be giving away guy -- expiring contract take him back ago the long term deal Monta and another guy who will have an additional year and those two factors that I think what also are prohibiting such a deal from coming about making the Celtics wanna do such. So like I said it's definitely something -- were talking about but I think they're too many hurdles. From Boston's perspective that make a deal like this something they probably don't wanna get involved. Again -- surround that tree era and blew -- stuff at this point February 18 trade deadline is looming thanks for the time. Not a problem.
