I'm joined now I hit stevens' comments from acts act dot com and it is joining as -- our our weekly high school high present act Armas insurance. Now makes the college football has been a buzz lately with that USC's Pete Carroll gone from USC heading to the pros and of course blanket and then we have -- they're from Tennessee. And then national signing -- is a struggle -- on February 3 so what's happening with those players who committed to Pete Carroll only to find out he's not going to be there. Wheeler opening a wide open they're they're saying well if this happens you know you. You've made these promises Pete Carroll's fantastic recruiter he convinces these -- this is a place for him. Now he's gone so they naturally. We'll open things wide open. The best case scenario our best cases following Dillon. Baxter from -- -- he was -- -- on national player of the year for max perhaps he'd account for 75 touchdowns he. He loves USC loves everything about him and he. He was he the only school early and once Pete used on an all star game and and he decided was going to Seattle. He just he opened up he set up a trip to University of Oregon his concern Florida all across the map and but didn't. Once he found out Lane Kiffin was in the picture you kind of cool down and I think he's listening blanket and it was also a master recruiter and so he might end up there after all. Yes certainly -- and not a bad too late night. You can understand the disappointment after losing Pete Carroll and now let's bring it back to the Bay Area and look at the crop of talent coming out of our schools. As their college out there that is heavily recruiting this years Bay Area. Well it's really odd it's kind of something new as some sort of trend Washington State evidently hasn't master recruiter here in the Bay Area they've recruited six different kids. And there's only been I think there's only about a dozen who have committed to colleges in the Bay Area and the six of them have we're going to Washington State just last week. Tremendous all around athlete Christophe Williams from your rallying any -- -- committed and he's number 60. And that seems to be a pipeline there and I think the other pac ten coach is better and better be aware. Right trying to keep those pac ten kids in that area for these acts and lesnar and now let's let out to the -- -- There's Q there has been getting a lot of hot actually some controversial talk out there can you just kind of fill me in -- -- -- going on. Jabari brown is a fantastic. Player. He's one of the top junior guards in the country. And last year he led -- -- in high school in Richmond to a state championship. All seemed well everything was great. But there there's a new trend going on there's a new trend going on now we're prep schools are opening up. There's a a prep school in Las Vegas area medical Findlay prep. Aware of these kids just basically go there to play basketball league they get school and all the other things as -- -- a full time job to play -- only get pretty. Notoriety and -- so he decided to go there in in June and he left hand that was kind of his controversial then. Well you know for four months into it. He decided you know this wasn't for him and he came back and and just last week he he transferred again so he's been transfer to Oakland high school. And which is right near his home and not simply with his brother. And so now he's there and it's got a controversial because he's been at three different high schools in one calendar year in. He got the plate he's sort of season right when he was Findlay prep on Saturday the next Saturday he scored 32 points for Oakland nine. So that's you know that's something that's new now. Perhaps that's why they have the world college -- had yet to sit out at -- jumper at that. One outlet team has been the biggest surprise for you so far this season. What has to be -- know it's gotta be Newark memorial out of Newark. There are. There's this tiny small school not a small school that they have small players that don't have anybody over 63. They came down to the max preps holiday classic down in San Diego where there was nothing but national teams or is it. Great national teams and they are really expected to do anything they made all the way to the championship game. And what's so unusual about and they are number two ranked team and you know so lesion is number one in the Bay Area. And number two is nor can -- But what's so unusual is just how they play -- just richest nation Sunday for answers nobody ever 63 or 64. -- saying he. This is the 6364 kid and and he dominates them always kind of like a little later intently and he gets the job done -- I mean -- Wonderfully coached and they've always been well coached. To me either this -- team in the Bay Area. Well they get so much Mitch Stephens for joining us from -- -- dot com are high school fight at a by Barbara insurance.
