Cal QB Kevin Riley spoke to CSN's Chuck Fisher about being the starter headed into the 2009 season and the upcoming opener against the Maryland Terrapins.

We have cal starting quarterback Kevin Riley here -- your junior season now you've been in and out of the starting lineup how comforting is -- to go into the season now you're the guy. It is here in -- -- name the starter. I was an -- from -- -- game that I knew then it was getting going and after few series it was almost like the competition continued. And whoever perform best -- human desires known for the next and a this year you know feels like come again that feels period kill all the game plan so far and have a bye this feels. Excited to start season.
