8.18: Jeff Garcia wants to play Saturday at 'Stick
Raiders quarterback Jeff Garcia tells Greg Papa about the lingering calf injury that has limited his play in camp and also articulates his desire to play at Candlestick Park when the Raiders visit there this Saturday night.

Jeff Garcia back in action as a welcome side of raiders' camp the veteran quarterback returned to practice Monday and made progress Tuesday. Garcia told our Greg pop -- he's ready to go full speed again. Sitting down and discuss his desire to play this Saturday in what would be a special game for him. And he addresses the injury that's hobbled him over the last two years. This calf injury is at the same one that ended last year and to. It is actually and it's. One of those things I don't know why it took place here. Or what it's going on with me as far as that's concerned that it was just one of those things I was just doing some light conditioning after practice and it just started this. Tighten up on me and it ended up being a little bit more than what I initially thought it was right. Fortunately not as bad as it was last year. So I think now that we -- it did all the things necessary I feel like I'm being back on the field and hopefully we'll have a repeat. Situation what's the plan for this Saturday in candlestick you're gonna get under center and play against former -- I hope that I get an opportunity to play. Back in candlestick. We were able to go there a couple of years ago when -- with a box then that it's always fun for me to revisit. That that area that stadium. Hopefully I get the chance yet to do that this weekend.
