-- NFL more optimism continues to reign over the -- out of the -- out reaching in and within the next few days though there was a small hiccup in that believe when the players failed to vote. On the new CBA today but that pick up. Might be a misconception to the league's player reps aren't even officially allowed to discuss a ZBA because the NFL PA is not currently union. Remember that whole decertification thing. I collective bargaining happens between the union and ownership -- sort of Sam CSN at mid Atlantic has more from one. Essentially the NFL owners and NFL players are settling the and I trust lawsuit out of court. Now the 32 player reps. Voted to approve the settlement and afford it to the plaintiffs named in that lawsuit. Pending resolution. Of some outstanding issues which I'm told should be resolved by Thursday morning. Then the plate did kitten and approve the settlement. And reported to -- owners who -- and then improve on Thursday and Atlanta and at that time can lift the lockout. This conditional vote comes at the end of a very long day. Players began arriving about 7:20 this morning preparing to look at and discuss the NFL owners proposal. Just before 10 AM NFL PA president Kevin why addressed the media. Make no mistake about the players and not rush to get it two -- we're not tied to a timeline of July 21. Our timeline is that was consistent billed as the best built for players so whether that's today or tomorrow or whatever may be we wanna play football we wanna go back to work. We're not gonna agreed any deal unless it's the right built ballplayer. Hours passed with no word from inside then just past 3 PM. Players began leaving in bunches from Brian Dawkins to Ravens receiver Derrick Mason and Tampa white out Maurice Stovall. Did the work in progress to the level of Cuba almost. He knows. Still you can -- and working hard man. It is still working the work still work. Guys have a great night. That work to be done of course refers to those outstanding issues and pending all those approvals so they all fall in the place. The lockout could be lifted as soon as Thursday. In DC still Sorenson Comcast sports net. Hard thank you Jill from oral commandN FL hall of fame writer refers CSN Philly dot com Ray Didinger and rank. What are you hearing about why this vote to not take place. I don't think it's anything really bad I don't think this this symbolizes a derailing of the talks are major setback. I just think this is both parties recognize that this is a pretty historic document they're about to sign and wanna make sure that everything's in order and they're just. They're always a lot of moving parts here I mean the fans are anxious to get this settled I think the players and owners are anxious to get this settled. But it has to be done exactly right -- are hoping that the document those. Be in place for ten years that is 300 pages of legalese that they've got to sift through and both players in the -- have to sift through it. Before they sign this thing do you think both sides can have this document signed by the end of the week. On I think -- well. I really do I I think there's a timetable is in place now that both sides have agreed upon in terms of when free agency is. Going to start how they want -- structure of the signing of the rookies. The beginning of training camp I think they would like to try and save the hall of fame game of possible. And -- all kind of has to be done pretty quickly within 48 hours I think the major major issues of that have caused the lockout at separate the sides I think it's been resolved. I think all the really sticky stuff as -- as well I think both sides are in agreement. On the big overarching issues I just think it's it's a lot of as you said legalese and a lot of the smaller points that need to be worked out but clearly. They do have to be worked out but I really don't think it's I don't think it's gonna set this thing back. I really do think it's still going to be wrapped up for the weekend. Already that is great news and hopefully the next time we talked you'll actually be talking must have taken place on the field and as always we enjoy conversation thanks for the time.
