They're not going to jump that of -- free agent frenzy we know what our team is we need to fill some holes teams are going to spend a lot of money. Some teams try and win the Super Bowl in March in the normal free agency period and I don't think you'll see a lot of collateral damage if we get back to the field because that's what. Everyone wants it and those are two separate thoughts here from the niners owner was in LA yesterday as was Peter King it. That at the NFL of that and he's back up to northern California the great writer from a Sports Illustrated and a commentator on NBC sports so first of all we were so optimistic yesterday we would have a agreement in principle today that is not going to happen. Are we gonna have what in time for the players to vote on this tomorrow Peter. See I think it's I think it's a little better than 5050 right because of this. First of all there exceedingly close that's number one number two. Only two things really stand in the way the ten guys who became the poster children who were part of this legal class. Those guys basically the NFL has to satisfy them the NFL has to do something that basically says to them okay. You get a little something for lending your name to this so they're now trying to figure out what that is there's one other issue here. And that is that the players want a maximum. All of one time a player can be named a franchise player in a course of his career and -- -- good example of how that matters now. -- -- -- Okay drafted by the 49ers in the second round the maximum. Contract He can sign his four year deal. And let's say this one time free agency taggants our franchise tag is put into place. His fifth -- then he'd be franchised. And then after that is six year player he'd be an unrestricted free agent right if the forty niners straight gold and get their quarterback of the future all of a sudden. Jerry Jones could write in on his white horse and steal come in -- -- -- 2016. So I think they're still jousting about that I all the media as Luis. He in new York at a previous CVA you could franchise a guy as much as you want the -- I think franchise Charles Woodson for your fourth consecutive rice and you have to pay him a lot right but if you want him he's got no danger of leaving to go back to the name of plaintiffs in this deal and I understand Drew Brees and Logan Mankins to some extent the Vincent Jackson is a guy that held out. For most of last year signed Barry -- who's that guy was twice the top for DW I from what I hear. He wants to not be franchised or watch -- ten million dollar. -- why was He put this does suit to Begin with why is Vincent Jackson and named plaintiff in this case because Vincent Jackson is just the kind of guy. The NFL you want NFL PA wanted to fight for a very very simple Vincent Jackson was a Pro Bowl slash all pro player a couple of years ago. And didn't get a chance to hit the open market those are the kind of guys the starters who were restricted. Those are the kind of guys the NFL PA chose to fight for in this case. Part assuming they do come to some agreement on these last couple of issues from what I heard today in training camp is going to be. Pushed back the owners just don't feel like they not a lot but but I'll tell you this Chicago win and Saint Louis that we're supposed to play the -- -- game. They'll be pushed back -- talked to one general manager today who said look. If this thing gets so -- Thursday night by NFL owners if He gets ratified if we have a deal. They'll open training camp on time on the twenty next week even though. Free agency will be over. What is gonna be really interesting about training camps this year around the NFL I believe is that. You opened training camp and then three days later for some team maybe Houston not be possible what might walk -- So I teams are not going to be finished. Pieces. When they report to training a free agency may start when training camp correct on that very day on the 28 that is going to be -- -- and it really weird year. It's going to be a fun year. And I think it'll be fun for fans because they'll be stuff happening everyday arguments in non B he's gonna be the prize he's gonna go for his first of all. Will He get twenty million a year -- to Seattle he's gonna do eighteen I don't think he's gonna do that for this reason. Right now I'm not piazza was by far the price of free agency. If there were no salary cap coming up this year. Not be awesome I think would make twenty million dollars a year but because. So many teams that want not be -- some are snug up against the cap. Baltimore Dallas Philadelphia they don't have a lot of money to spend we'll have to move money around in order to make it happen. That's why I don't think he's gonna get the big money IDs gonna be more around sixteen or seventeen million a year. And I still think I've said this for a couple of weeks. If the Houston Texans do not sign now the Arsenal. -- laughter ferociously. That is a bad decision bad for him I'm sure they're gonna go after a modest on seeing going there -- and now wants to go somewhere where He can win that. Of the ball like Jose it's obviously a big market as well the Houston Texans. It's not piazza won't play sixteen games form. Easily could win twelve games. The only thing they're missing in my opinion is -- shut down guy in your second anyway the Jets get -- days and I don't -- so Marty I don't think so for this reason. Imagine if you want to long term sign -- piazza someone you already have Darrelle Revis and it capped with a cap that's like a 140 million. Can you take two quarterbacks. A combined say 3335. I just think it's way too much to -- -- of players to pay to players who were not quarterly maybe two of the best five players in the National Football League circle we shall see. Kevin job does He go to Arizona is a go to Seattle or somewhere else in the two teams it's Arizona or Seattle or Philadelphia remember one thing about Andy Reid. Any Reid knows that Michael Vick in his entire career has played sixteen game season one time. And do you want to have a Super Bowl contender knowing. That somebody -- Kafka. He might have to play four games -- and I'm not demeaning might confident because you know we might have a good NFL career but he's totally unproven. You wanna put him against the Cowboys in the Giants in that. And the Packers in December and hell no I mean that's trouble aren't we open which had York's quote He said they're not gonna be big players in free agency they wanna sign their own it. Free agent the nose guard -- right of Franklin does He come back Andre was ranked in the Aubrayo Franklin right now in my opinion. Is one of the top ten players in unrestricted free agency. And with so many teams going at 34 right now I can see Abreu Franklin going somewhere for eight or nine million dollars a year out of three or four year deal. That might be too rich for the 49ers blood. I think they signed golds and for sure to show to go after him. You know really hard for sure. That's a guy who Jim Harbaugh really wants is sort of the quarterback of -- secondary.
