-- not like to say how proud I am of these young man. They fall apart we keep getting better and better we just came up a little short couple times and to cannot. What I told -- kind of -- them down it's time. And -- we broke that -- them day in order discussion and now we need to take it and run with it. And that's what we plan on doing that I can't -- the resilience of those young man on the shouldn't five or six other topic for this which of that. Had -- W and they just kept fighting and fighting kept believing and believing in. Any of evil we get down 24 to seventeen and if you -- kind of bleak there we can stop in the beginning of the second half. They fought back in and we stuff them in our offense get going and I told you we can run the ball eventually and we've gotten there and we got running back it wants to run it really well all the kids have always wanted to but He just kind of gone a different level it seems like. Profits a lot of blocked -- really really well. And appreciate that Matt Thornton a great job -- and offense and taking care of the football. So defense played well in the fourth quarter and really really excited about it too excited about -- My in Sweden kicker. And He did a great job kicking field goals today. And those around him. So just a great team effort a lot of guys when a lot of roles and it was a great win for us and and our program. It's been awhile and it it was good to get that monkey off your back. Yeah that they gave me the bath two seconds too early. But I liked it will say that and I really appreciate those kids in the hard work they've done I think they've been laid it up that thing couple were able. So. We're really excited about that it was cool that. More. And well Brennan -- as a young man came here that was just a great actually. You know he's as skilled type athlete that. This kind of between a between running back and receiver and He worked really hard lately in the last two years and gotten bigger and stronger. And you know last week we got quite a lot -- -- made that long run against UCLA I think you know just -- Because he's -- -- into the argument about he's never done before and and He told me this week but to give it all. And He said I'll go get it done and He ended up until I was -- well he's learning how to hit downhill it's so easy and a starters -- a little bit in a really do that anymore -- And he's hit -- hard and make it runs and yes of foot speed is something when He breaks away -- breakaway which is exciting. I'm just really proud of Brandon. Not only his athletic ability that type of person he's really the comment He graduates. This semester and then I think there's a lot of people when He first came here that well -- friend ever graduate. And He does a great school a great person. And San Jose State University has really been watching him he's kind of commitment. It. No He told me just keep giving them now's making it we we we were kind of milk the clock it a little bit. No one there I think if He couldn't He planted on the wrong foot you're Clemens out -- kind of slipped a Equus -- got the first down and Italy and pitching in. But I mean we're gonna give it time and he's getting in better shape every week now. And so that's good. I think we wore their I think they played really really well but I felt like our kids. Our conditioning factor really showed in the fourth quarter to me watching the football game and it they're young man played really hard to really good quarterback really competed. It's kind of funny you know we played as -- in his first game He got cramps. And this is this his first game and He perhaps acting -- you know the but He also thinks that way quarterbacks sometimes. Guess our. Thank you very much. There's no word yet. But it doesn't look good at this point in which is very very disheartening Joe's been hurt the last three years. Really heartbroken to see him I'll I'll all of my young and I am. But when you see it -- come back. Injury after injury and yet to play a lot of downs it's very disheartening he's young man grow and that's a high school coach in. Came back for senior it was playing really well and hopefully it's not as bad we think it might be -- we'll find out we'll find out tomorrow. Tomorrow or Monday. -- It. Well. Yeah. Okay they lined up -- -- guys way back. He knows that most teams want to get -- -- so the wind blowing like crazy that way so we were trying to hit the ball in the third. Roll and we might get on it -- they went had a chance and He just missed it. You know we just felt like -- -- like you do your chip shots sometimes you never missed that it and He just missed hit and it was very unfortunate. Yeah yeah I did it did and you know. I still think is what we should do there because the way that we would've got on the whole game -- change too. And we had worked on and practiced it and it just didn't happen. And so that was all along. Yeah it would wanted to hit on the thirty on the thirty yard line and roll. It's our first closest to me. Part that's fine -- did you think that's what happened last night I think twice. And so but it didn't work out silly that we didn't look smart and -- it -- back. -- Hole. Well they played their safeties really tight for run support when you can run the football those things come home. When you can't run the football -- to stay back and he'll come -- so when we started running. And we start -- son Sam's support fast we just -- it ran hot vertically so the fact that I yet. And that's what happened it happened a few so that run set and a it's just the way it works. And Doug Davis allowed did an excellent job the other quarterback was a better scramble -- then. Mainly. Not as good an arm but they're scrambling and they heard us on a few scrambles and -- -- quarterback draws but we we practiced them some but not as much -- symbol of the Manning wouldn't -- them. But I thought they gave great effort great energy and I think they just you know play a few guys here and there really kept working. The idea that -- they were getting him hand. And they came out run a lot of option which we worked on. We weren't sure exactly how they would run it. And it hurt us on a few little speed option is there a time with and we figured out quite well. -- The well yeah that's a shame. We were try and it was working. And we were made a couple of good -- with that romantic couple -- -- we had both of them out there were kind of keep them off balance -- a couple of substitutions with it. And and we fumble the read it -- -- political if he's hopefully still people that run for awhile so I got a little bit nervous about doing some more -- -- -- kind of going there. So we didn't we we could -- some more and we I think I think we'll still do it because it really. The place besides that one. Worked out pretty well I think He keeps it the back up quarterback sure. Well more young Matt played really well I was really proud of him. -- makes it really is the Rose. And makes great plays see the thing He did we got a lot of open you know certain spots and -- you know. And I think he'd only wanna have really one throw back. Well one throw back to the we'll wrap. Everything out of bounds in the end zone and I think He could really tell where the wind I caught -- lot of that. And but besides that body -- -- played really laser he's a great young man a good lawyers. He's thinking clear now I'm in and quicker with his release and then seeing what we saw in fall camp. Yeah that. Did that. -- yeah we we start well. We let him get going on the out on the defense and it's now we get from scored they scored three points touchdown that was good. And then the first run that was start fast and has -- been preaching to the offense heart. And the defense to the live which -- hard enough as I can get some momentum going. And we did I thought our special teams tackles will kick off coverage is a couple in twenty's in. They were aggressive and hit a good returner we'll see -- -- the mean weight pair of late kick it outside. McGinest and one probably almost had to make it -- it I was really proud of those guys are to a private special teams in. They did a really good job. Yeah. I'm very happy that very happy. Made -- -- and -- just walk him. I definitely we get the running game going that's what we get a little bit of passing game on it had to run into it really keep your team off bounds Billy -- And and also it helps you run we ran out of -- they'll run the clock in the game and which is very and we haven't -- it would do -- past.
