Brian the last few years this team is not given anybody longer than having a three year contract. It is that could that change is that something that you did you go and is open minded about how might that affect. What you do or do not do with the with Beltran. Well that those. -- way that -- play it and again would be with the -- -- Oh. It to be redundant but. Until you really can build its budget. Let's say. That could hold. A free agent coming in retaining -- creation of the world. We have to decide how many years ago we could go who would go with the pitch next. -- we just can't pull players -- Figures from. Out of the that we have to have a specific budget because our relative payroll isn't gonna explode. From year -- year or. Be able to go with one real significant acquisition and we know -- to spread us so that's the best witnesses. Question if you -- -- you can get your pitching staff. Under some -- and you know an idea what they're gonna be we you'd be more likely think tour I woods so it's say that. That would be a topic that we have the sole ownership. Home being it. We would wanna have to show them first. How we can go for this coaching stuff. And then once we do that either specific way I get it done or more so just in our game play and how -- when -- visit these folks. Then we can make the recommendation what was exporter -- that we think is take this or Beltran cases he's still in the mix for us. This would recommend him this is so full. Our pitching is gonna get expensive that's the punch and we have to take care of -- -- following up on sort of what you just said about Sanchez. Possibly being in the mix for that next spring. When you guys released roll into you said you weren't sure about what do you know its status would be going in the the winner. What what are your thoughts on that now he's under contract of his return. So simple. Bryant. He brought up. Some good looking players this year if you look ahead which players that we may not have seen. You keep an era that might be competitive to play a key role next year guys who might look at -- Arizona Fall League or whatever. Any particular names not this time we don't everybody anybody at the higher level of quote the minor league system of the food chain that. Who -- think would be a -- turn our biggest decisions how ready are much more we can get Crawford. He into -- go to -- profits -- in the fall league both going to put the Dominican evidently. -- But that that's a topic that will be. First and foremost in the next couple days. How we evaluate his situation. -- -- -- -- It's still. At spring training. Is He in in the mix in your mind for for the fifth starter job. Well I -- just like Brian touched on this. You know -- record when we get in spring training and we're in Australia open minded there with the that fifth starter and you know he's he's going to be either just like Jonathan. -- I don't know what's gonna happen. -- -- -- You know that's that's going to be a need for this ballclub and I agree I think -- -- needs a bit more seasoning and -- Notion He will be in the mix there. Person in terms of the guys that you have seen from the top -- -- concern and he's Bryant's words that were on the big league roster this year. Pretty she is having the potential to have a big impact on next year's club. Well that's as tough call -- Who is here and these meetings next two days will be talking about. -- record it and Brandon belt. You know I think you have to look at those two and of course Brett -- made them. They can always when He came up here here's a guy and it's not a hundred runs last couple years ago. I think tomorrow will be nice players in the major leagues it's just matter win and it's so that's what will. Discuss I I don't see one over the other right now. A mostly. Kid like Crawford who who we -- we've we knew that but we had a need there and -- together and played very much at our level up. Start to get better and better -- handled himself very well including. You know the go -- course and that's that's what you look for from a young player how they're gonna do what -- The brand had a little tougher time with them because she's had more success. In the minor leagues and not hitting thing really cut. I mean bill at that got to him a little bit more -- I had it just a matter of them get the bats right now in when we -- -- swing wasn't where we're -- -- and a but the fact that they get this experience as vice Versa to have under their belt so you know if we think so they were fine with. Crawford -- or even a pill completion they've got some time -- very similar -- -- when He came up in September you know it's. Has and I will experience it they can draw on. There -- you're talking a lot though not to over tax enough period policy earlier. -- both -- -- -- Hawkins -- sort of government not quite ready as yet. And what kind of situation is correct those challenges is He here ready maybe to challenge next year for that spot though not all (%expletive) the beginning of the season. I don't think so long. And that's a good question because one of the reasons we actually. Decided to take a look at Sanchez was He was -- able playing very well. Well we didn't know what was gonna happen with a catching with Stewart and or whites and they did a great job from the standpoint handlers step. We moved him to triple way to see if He can hold the Sony did improve as a receiver. Swung the bat decent of them we brought him appear to kind of compare against the other two guys in the in my mind we saw that He was. He was overmatched I personally think He has to go back to the minor leagues but I think who's gonna interest so. Harold -- for a or pitcher again He. You know He just needs some experience back -- him on the staff and I think he's he's a good nights where you switch hitter can -- from both sides and He is a good arm and like two of the way He receives the ball it's all the little things that. He's have you better and that's -- not pitch and a higher levels so. Stars and everything like -- our system so. Who knows something does that we can have him available. -- for either one or both if you. Do you wiped given his track record you wipe the slate clean with -- Aubrey Huff or do you lose his status kind of tied to Brandon belts for next year. You know it's a touchy subject because we expected more out of -- and He certainly did through. But I will say this for the the manager or or how you deal with a veteran players struggles. You know I don't believe that. You should turn it back on somebody all of a sudden somebody this can attract -- hitting say that He can't -- hit won't hit. If we really thought we had a better alternative earlier. We might have made an adjustment to kind of give him much playing time but we will open he'd come out mister really nothing to do with the so I mean if you look at his baseball card before election -- cut and run produce. He get himself from the -- out of what. One on might have been a residual effect of maybe not to and from the offices and He knows. Home put it it was a touchy thing to deal with now having said that next year's a different here. Well and that he's gonna have to come in ready he's gonna have to commend them pulled one way. In if you can't. As we've shown before the managed going to be in a position hopefully they have other choices and we'll put other people in their feet. -- Gary Brown. Do you see him starting at Richmond double lane or at AAA in what we're going to that decision. They'll be discussed a little bit in this meeting though even though he's not on the forty man roster. I think you go to either place. Because of his style of play and more so the way He approaches -- leadoff position. Double is a very. Tough league to hit an a because of the reachable par and and -- it's really viciously and that's not a bad thing for him that they have to go through. I guess I was -- -- I was gonna follow up with that obviously the coast league hitters -- plus he's close to home. Keep keep a closer eye on him is that something to consider. Not necessarily because you know we'll have a wolves go to but you know it is right down the street. So we know we're not going back to San Jose when nobody could go to triple -- so it's not as if that we. Prescribe to everybody they have to go to the next level before they go to our lol -- I will say that so we're all learning in that. Well probably -- players too fast now even the ones like Brandon belt to flies through the minor leagues. I think would vote can tell you what to a few players can tell you is that all of a sudden nationally especially in our division. That there's some pretty rugged pitching you face every night. It's very difficult. To protect a young player. That doesn't have a lot of minor league experience. Oh and I used Phil is an example. And Phil's case. He's really -- display from a lot of ways. Through those games in the minor leagues when the ball. He doesn't panic when He has an off before it's over except Brandon -- hasn't gone through the -- can tell you measure his biggest fears deal with. Their failure and what you need to do quote. To protect them but. You know the old school way was so going back to brown. Head over here and a ball just where you're gonna doubling and MLB or double -- -- -- go to triple -- -- and earned your way into the big leagues so. I think we've learned a -- is not as easy to push position players as it is to push pitching now because the pitching appears so good. That you better be sure that somebody can pull that wouldn't want.
