So you think there's such a thing as an off season now hitting the case and Alice gets Rowland and it happens pretty quick. That's right coming up in March New England comes to town for the San Jose earthquakes and then a season begins. With some big ones including the LA Galaxy. Coming -- a couple of times and last year -- game at Stanford. A sellout non game everyone was there -- -- was talking about it we continue to talk right here on chronicle live on Jim -- more on the president. All of the San Jose earthquakes is David Campbell what you see the schedule this. Couple of the games but it didn't start of the personal offseason as it's almost year round now I mean there are coming out of so fast and it's it's very exciting and we're looking for a starting. March 10 and a lot of very good things coming up for this franchise and some of -- is off the field and I know that there's a big initiative with the new stadium. And soccer stadiums in America are so important for the growth of the game. And what's going on in San Jose handles it well it's really exciting time we got our PD permit in December. Were working through appeal process right now. But were closer than we've ever been actually breaking ground starting 181000. Seat stadium so it's it's a real great time franchise and what's so neat about it is it. The fans support right now it buckshot stating his tremendous sold out all the time it's fun to be at the games. This is gonna make it more so. And he just look at a team like sporting KC and how it really transform their organization do you think you -- the same here and sent -- I think it's the same thing what you see at Portland in Kansas City a rebirth of the soccer interest. We're ready -- a higher pace than they do so when you think about adding stadiums that makes. It's really it if the club and we know last year that there was a study done sales they called soccer sort of the Bay Area can get your Bay Area really was called Soccer City if you put it that way. Throughout the United States with a lot of players there are. Let's talk a little about the players everyone knows about Chris on the last great goals going local kid Danville kid but you that -- some help for him didn't you yet -- under an International Bowl. Our job as he's a midfielder and then -- or Garnett is at center back those guys are going to be huge addition. On -- to -- of him and it's going to be fun to watch as a team that's gonna. Try to grow just a little bit more that guys with the price of admission and he ends of his years the last couple seasons have been phenomenal. And he's training with the US men's national team as well it's great you got the call up he's gonna play a couple matches for the US team here in January February and it's great honor for -- then we couldn't be happier -- and we look at the growth of MLS and soccer America. David you look at the television deals you've got another network deal -- NBC sports network and continuing on Comcast sports net California how big is that to the growth of the sport I think having the right broadcast hours is critical contest is critical and DC is critical. And I think it's just elevate the stature of course we also wanna talk get back to that stadium. It we talk about the guys that can come back in this league there are some big names -- and analyze this Ontario relaxed you Landon Donovan used to be equate. David Beckham really started that whole thing yeah. The -- you guys are designed stating it's almost like to be shaken hands of these well our our suites -- fields we are one of the pot. -- these are right on the if you were like two or three yards from the action. It's really great environment to experience soccer. And we've already sold nine of the twelve are right -- so it's been great to see that in the interest from the is in the -- believe that. Are you hearing from the business community are you hitting the things that they want in a in a sport or in an entertainment. Scenario that fits them that its partners what what are you guys doing what they mean I think we're uniquely positioned to fulfill their needs because. A lot of these international companies had international work forces and a lot of the people who work there groping countries were association football as the number one sport so. We appeal to those folks and we can provide a great product for -- experience soccer which is great you know we mentioned the tee area reason David Beckham's. Is that another sign that analysts is growing internationally you mention the workforce is of these companies that are international work forces. Is this league getting -- internationally. Oh it is all over the world and I think that's why on -- back in the players like that are coming to the United States and playing here. Because they know it's one of the biggest changes out there and when it comes to tickets how'd they get him out of fans get any got a couple weeks ago all right if we act -- children -- you never -- never got three out there yeah I'm so yes he's gonna last year earthquakes that Tom. Has all the information -- -- -- -- and -- for tickets for this upcoming season march -- the season begins the home opener but the players are coming in they're gonna get go practice and -- I think so it's here it's happening it doesn't it's a year round sport and Ellis is that's what we like to see David Campbell president of the earthquakes thanks for joining us and we're happy to be joined with you guys again. Or Comcast sports like California -- at -- all right that's stated cattle.
