You -- the offseason and know that you had a lot of work to do but how you feel. They're good a lot better than I did and then my season last year so. That's a positive look forward to playing this year and get stronger to get back on the field -- an update on what you can do to get back on the field on a regular basis where are you in your rehab process. -- are -- a little -- to our program which is probably gonna take another month month and a half. To get to where I need to be to be in the field. Com I have no limitations swinging which is which is a good thing. And Burnett right now we were and ninety feel -- -- 120 feet but. We're taking slow. Turning him myself strong and nine feet basically I play first -- so luckily I don't throw too much. But for right now where we're happy with the Iraq and just along slow process after surgery. Artists are swinging the bat last year he struggled at times during the two spot through the start of the season with the athletics what are you working on with your swing -- to worry go to rehab forty work on to get better swing of the bat. You know for mean mostly it's mental. Give back to my old self I think that that's the biggest thing. Heusen who's in left center field gap for me I think it's the biggest thing biggest strength and in my swing. And mentally I think I was I was down on myself -- last year because when you're -- you don't know. Don't know really how to get out of he tried different things and I think gone back to the basics and then gone back to my head my old self I think is. The positive and I had a lot of time to think about an offseason so -- That's the biggest change I think I'm gonna make this series has gone back to school what I did to get here and instead of we're not trying to do some different. -- during some of those struggles. At the Major League level last year was there ever a point where you thought to yourself. I wish I could get back to triple itself like a weird question I wish I could to get back to Sacramento he's just worked on things away from everybody get back to being me. Todd now I don't I don't ever want to. Be back in -- -- imagine -- play in the major leagues and but what I did what I did wish was that I could get back to who I used to be and and the player that I used to be which was obviously not trying to be somebody that I'm not. And I'm not gonna hit you know thirty home runs a year so I think that was the biggest thing that I had to. Basically tell myself was that hey you know you gotta know who you are and you gotta do what you can do and you know play the best the ability. Was it an internal -- their people you talked to know you a little bit more whether it's a high school coach or someone else was a coach along the way it able globally somewhere. Knows it was mostly internal but then again there's a lot of people had to talk to about a lot of baseball things. And you know I did a lot of search and -- last year at the plate. Mechanics wise. And you know I just I didn't have -- amounted to have to swing that I normally have so I was trying to generate. Bat speed elsewhere and that wasn't working so. Luckily we fix a problem and I can go back to basics. And just continue to work my sowing as they used to. -- sounds like another odd question but have you ever thought that maybe the surgery had to have. It helps you get back to square one to get back to the hitter you -- today. Let's hope I -- sometimes you gotta take that backwards it takes to the fullest and last year was a huge bump in the road for me and you know I'm not here to prove myself again and but never had a problem plan for a job that somehow like to do you know makes it more interesting and makes it worth fighting for. Well you can't throw the baseball right now you can't swing the bat Manny Ramirez with a team -- can't play for fifty games. Do you have your sites set on May be able DH actually could swing the bad enough to help the team. I won't do anything I can help the team went by the thrown -- with tank and you know not heard it and after all do. You know -- and has been healthy and I think that's what I need to do enough force myself back too early to cause more problems. But what many here I'm sure a lot of guys that can benefit from that being one of the great greatest right handed hitters to ever play I think it's gonna be. He's definitely fun to talk to learn some stuff fronts on the flotilla. Is it still like the first in school -- assuming new faces and -- you guys who were regulars know one another but there are a lot of new guys that you still have to figure out who they are. Yeah yeah so that's tough putting names and faces but I would go through every year seems like. But he really makes them some great moves and he gets a lot of good players so that's something that we can count on every year and we know that there's going to be. Lot of fight for positions out here every year so it's it's definitely it's a lot of fun.
