Welcome back for another edition of inside by sports and a Wofford and Dessens into how we got the chance. Yeah strike force lightweight champ Gilbert Melendez here el -- always get the ambulance that year things you know is going to be here looking sharp tip top condition right now I would say you have gets right now about two weeks out of the -- and house -- the grade you know feeling great and that. You know -- do it let's go over some UFC on fox three -- got a couple big fights coming out first the ball. One of your teammates Nate Diaz. Is on the card going up against Miller and they should be a real good fight. What about Nate Diaz he continues. To grow similar to you you guys haven't hit your peak yet. Yeah definitely I mean it's always a student of the sports and he's constantly you know picked Damon's brain for the -- always working his boxing and. He's really come into his own right now I think he showed us last two fights you know he's fighting his fight not fighting the -- by. Fighting his fight and it hasn't -- this this week in business how do you think he'll match it would Jim Miller. Well you know I think he's -- degree I think it's footwork is great and I think his reaches is is nice along is -- Lance and good jabs keep it on the outside. On Jimmy have you managed in the takedown they digits you I think you know I'd need is better is a blacked out though Jim is tough you don't want him on your back but I'm. It's in great shape but I think he's gonna lay hands on iron in and I Jim and I didn't touch. Are right back in action as well as Josh -- check his first fight since splitting with AKA. And he's got Johnny Hendricks out their first ball would be an emotional fight. For -- B and that there's got to be a lot on his mind new team and all that. That that that is a good question -- there may be you know that sometimes the mental battle you know you you you let your team not you have to deliver and make Sheila better than never so -- that I can be on his mind. You know as for the matchup though I Hendricks is a tough wrestler of the kind of similar guys except bomb tossed -- a little more experience maybe and it's a little bit more you on -- side. I don't know about the age but just used to being in the cage and in need to be a little bit more hungry but. And a similar styles the makes for good fight. Also an action Jake Shields making his middleweight debut is this a more comfortable weight program. You know what -- perfect. -- it would be 170 pounds but there isn't that weight classes only once seventies and 185 so I Jake's -- up right now I think he'll do great 85 they just don't like him how to cut so much -- seventies. When you gotta start focusing on the weight cut over your fight. Kind of you know is not the best things and I was kind of the focus on that as much and into focus on his training and having to do -- -- -- He had a lot on his mind Jake has -- those guys he's not gonna sit back and say well this was on my mind and I didn't fight well because of that he doesn't make excuses but let's admit. He's been battling a lot of things in his personal life. A 100% you know Jake's takes a guy who keeps his emotions in and gives an intact and and keeps keeps focused and. He's very strong and very strong guy and he's dealt a lot and you know his father's -- in -- way as far as also as manager and big influence on his life on everyone's life and yes about that is tough to deal with but down. I feel like she's you know she's getting sharper and he -- if he's able to get things under control of something that's not very easy go with. Ever in your life you know but the -- is looking like as the other tiger again. How does he matchup against -- short fuse -- I think great you know I think I -- -- is costly evolving I think he's gonna keep that pressure like he did against hockey on -- I think you know I think he -- back in the sub. Once again Gilbert Melendez el Nino this guy means business and if you're a local supporter this is definitely a good guy to get behind.
