Alex Smith discusses the natural ability of rookie wide receiver, A.J Jenkins.
-- yeah both is better than last in last w.s. Yeah I don't seem better seems. And it's clear off the bat. Comes in better. You know without the last couple years it always seems like we never really have any problems on the practice shoots -- -- the stadium for some reason it doesn't seem to work as well so. Hopefully this one does better at -- -- but I -- he can happen at home sometimes is it justice. Seemed like it was a touchy deal you know. Going -- now. He Fisher on the roads seem like it would happen more often. It would happen at home to. It would you know. You expect more when you come in as a rookie you know it's gonna be some crazy I text the actually looked and omens. It's not. -- batters in the I think he had set problem as universal. Across -- everybody. They get -- quarterbacks dealt with it you know problems and got out of plan -- plan B. What you're gonna do. It's so. That's quite a bit sometimes -- caught off you just gotta go something. Yes sometimes goes out and you know we're very proactive years especially last year -- The backup system with the risk and it makes it easier you know to use it signals and things like that we didn't play in so. -- I feel like he's you know coming along just great. Think I think a lot got native is off season which is stuff I mean as a -- I mean as a rookie of -- expectation level is is nothing there I mean coming in off season and expect something so. I think he's a great place. He's got a lot of guys learn from a lot of guys that played a lot of football. Guys that all have different strengths he can watch him play together a date you know they they win. How they played their strengths. Watch how professional they are. And I think he's a great place replace -- steadily keep improving. He's going to be just fine. No question about it's talent. I think the big thing obviously is coming and it's that the playbook sizes is a much different than college level. Ryan Madson and in his -- and learn in and the details of it. Well. I think he's a guy like him I mean. Just about do everything I think the thing that really distinguishes himself you see the natural the natural. And don't call foot talent speed coming in and out of cuts and unit that type of stuff we see him in and out of breaks and it's. You can see it there you can sit there and in the separation he can get. And you know it's just it just comes natural and especially come out sideways you know breaking down in and out of cuts things like that. As a great feel great body language. And it's something that is -- one of the strengths. There. Yeah I I can I mean I don't think he'll ever not -- large. But no question I do feel like I could tell that he's slimmed down to the first this -- I feel like he in a good way. I feel like he was really good. You know I know from the little -- I've heard -- -- them and I really likes what's going on our weight room and conditioning stuff like that usually take into it.
