Allen: 'This is a good time for the bye; we're gonna evaluate everything'
We got to control the things that we can control. And we've got to do a better job finding ways. To affect the quarterback and have talked about that since I got here. We've got affect the quarterback to do that two different ways you do about rushing you like conference so we've got available in those things together. We've got to cover him. Better and get our chance our rush chance to get there and then when we do government we've got a winner went one on one matchups up front get to the quarterback. It. Com I think just like everybody else they need improvement. We've got to improve in a lot of areas and you know I'm not gonna get into the finger point game and trying to say is scared that Jack. Really what we're what we're into is. Playing better as a football team. And within doing that we got a nice way each of us individually and I -- ourselves and then ultimately coaches we and I -- players and find out who's doing the right things and in the way that were asked him do it. 'cause my thought was doing my father come back and play it safe you know is moved. Necessity to do -- -- another problem by putting plays where his. Well I really at the end of the day we got to make decisions that we feel like give us the best chance to be successful. And that was a decision that we made moving in the corner. Gave us the best chance to be successful we're gonna continue to evaluate that we go. Move along they'll be one of the things will look at this bye week. Whether I mean obviously it you know it's a factor but. At the same time. You know I believe that's where we've got NFL football players. And -- asked him into an NFL job and and that's what we got to continue to do everybody in the NFL deals with injuries. We're no different than anybody else. And more -- as a crutch. Oh -- -- control went bye comes in -- city a lot of work do you had your Brothers. Would you rather not have the buys you spend more time working on you. Alt well I think that's that's when you get a great opportunity to do that I mean we're gonna have a couple practices this week. CBA allows assistant. Have a couple practices and we're getting him four days off. But it gives us as a coaching staff some time. To really evaluate and look at what we've done with first quarter of the season and see where rent. And the things that we need to improve on. Without them this. They added time of trying to prepare. For upcoming opponent. The on field time and you're gonna end five six days off and come back Monday that your office Tuesday. Is that what it is time walked. Well yet it is quite at a time off. But it's the same time this is the time you really get a chance to work on you. During the -- get two practices to work on the buy. We come back on Monday we'll spend some time working on Raiders -- Raiders. And so that's when you really get an opportunity to work on you when your into the game week you're you're more focused on. Prepared for the upcoming opponent so this is a good time to -- for us. There -- it was all want to fuel. Well thank you very where it was but it always. -- -- We're gonna evaluate everything we're not gonna stick your head in the sand we're in -- -- everything and seeing what what things we need to improve on. And where we can get better. And there's a lot of things are going to that in Warren and go from. From AZ in we've got a lot of get better and do. And that's what we plan on doing. -- there's a lot of different things you go involved and I mean I've already talked about third down in the time of possession. You know situation points when you're chasing points you're not able to run the ball consistently and therefore not able run the ball effectively. So. There's. You know there's a lot of factors that go into that and they are involved -- that that's what we gotta do this bye week. Here is it any time you can work on you -- that you sort. -- myself and only your first time head -- you see. If of those -- you respect about what you're doing you're doing so are well it's like I told the players today all right we've got to take a good hard look at ourselves. And we've got to make sure that we're. We're doing everything that we can. To give ourselves a chance to be successful and I'm no different than anybody else. You know I think we all make mistakes in this business and we've got to be able learn from them. And that's part of what this bye week is all about. Coaches and players we already get better this week. Yeah the guys that you that you call yeah. I'll ask names but you have yeah maybe -- games is that was the situation. I got I got I've got resources that I go to just talk about different. Coaching decisions. It's dramatic decisions. A lot of different things. -- He needs improvement just like all of us. And we're gonna continue working. Improve in that regard. And we listen we a lot of areas we got to get better -- in. So we're not gonna we're not into that single in our business were into the team business and now we're gonna evaluate everything this week you see -- get better.
