Kate Longworth and Paul Gutierrez ask the big question left in Oakland -- When will we see Terrelle Pryor?
Transcript
One thing both Paul and I wondered with this season issue not that the Raiders. Not really obviously playing for a playoff spot so what are they playing for they're playing for the -- they -- had a chance to talk with DA and Reggie McKenzie and they talked about evaluating the young players they both gonna ask coach Alan. What does that mean for some of the players he's seen Streeter racing crying we've seen Adams but of course severance wondering what is it TP tack stuff. Yeah an and that to me -- is is one of the earlier questions is is how fine that line truly is between you still want to win games you still -- your fans and the players themselves the two which is up in the best position to winning game. What you would be doing yourself a terrible disservice if you don't evaluate guys guys that are on the roster and -- sound the first thing he always brings up as -- -- And an offensive lineman he doesn't really move the needle much as far as fans are concerned. And Terrelle Pryor nobody really moves the needle like he does so. I'm kind of things concerned are confused little bit that that coach John might have misunderstood my question about could you potentially throw Terrelle Pryor as a starter I'm not saying Ted's a bench Carson Palmer. But you need to at least see what Terrelle Pryor can do against legitimate. First string NFL defense is has closed the third stringers in the guys that got cut that he played against in the pre season. Yeah I recognize that -- your question because they think as we all know who cover this team Carson Palmer is the starter he is the leader he is. That guy who's gonna be under center taking this team on -- right -- right now when you're into the evaluation process which radio though but I think coach didn't make it very clear that. Although there's been some mistakes he still has all the utmost faith and Karstens. Again I would totally agree with that point that Carson Palmer in my opinion is probably the offensive MVP if not the -- -- -- this team this -- and and -- -- -- if you -- -- the -- of -- three -- -- team but. But -- -- -- that's kind of what he -- he's been the most -- and he's been the most steady and he has had a couple rough games here. But you can't really do much when you've got guys in your face the entire game even the long touchdown baskets and a to Darrius Heyward-Bey last night he took about a massive hit right in the middle of but he still stepped up and any did -- so this is Carson Palmer seemed to -- me a lot of 2005. When Kerry Collins is having a similar years putting a lot of stats a lot of good numbers but the team wasn't winning a lot of games so in one -- -- -- -- we are so why they're just deceit and letting go so well and they have their answer and then went Borden and you know Terry Collins and returned. But at least they knew for that season with a couple games ago. With Norv Turner as the coach they at least through Tuiasosopo. To see -- can do now they didn't put him in my opinion in a position to succeed because they started him on the road against the New York Jets that year. But at least in my opinion if they do something similar to that get Terrelle Pryor rather get him some game time they can do it in the home finale where it would be a friendly here. Had mr. Burnett's success he had no doubt -- that the raider nation wants to see and they also want to see victory so we'll see -- the Raiders can do with that. Extra days of practice out there they actually some extra days to maimed and rest and then I will be back out here covering it on -- at central and all of these bylines on and CSN California and CSN Bay Area dot com.
