-- upcoming you got here at the 49ers team facility on Monday after their win over the Dolphins and of course -- the big news today that situation that has been simmering with running back Brandon Jacobs over the past few weeks has come to a head -- Suspending the veteran running back for the last three games of the regular season but not giving him an outright release or cutting him. And that way they keep them from going to another team if possible. They have for the playoff. Yeah I mean what Brandon Jacobs wanted more than anything else was support for the players to either play him or release him. They were gonna play -- because now -- Michael James and Anthony Dixon have I think sort of solidified their spots behind Frank Gore so. Greg Jacobs was the fourth running back on this team in before. Kendall Hunter got injured he was the fifth running back of this team. So conduct detrimental to the team for Brandon Jacobs with his outlandish. Challenging authority tweets. Pointed at Jim Harbaugh and the 49ers. So what the forty -- are doing is saying you know what you're not gonna play here. You know I can play anywhere else either. So by the suspension of foreigners keep him under -- key in essence he can't play the rest of the regular season. Highly highly unlikely that he would play for them in the playoffs. But what this does is it prevents him from going to another team. An NFC team perhaps and helping that team. Play the way that. Highly unlikely plays in the playoffs but if you remember last year veteran wide receiver Braylon Edwards was here he was disgruntled with the team they cut him. Late in the season -- come the playoffs they had several injuries to the wide receiving corps. And that was something you certainly can be used and he can use another body in the playoffs and even the Braylon Edwards was having the regular season a lot can change. During the playoffs so I agree he probably won't see Brandon Jacobs played the playoffs at all it's never Emmys -- keep him around as a teacher. I think we might have a better chance seen jewel Hampton had last via Australia and I think. Jim Harbaugh. What is Jim Harbaugh say the team the team the team and with Brandon Jacobs on the sideline. On Sunday yes the Dolphins I saw him shows some of those team attributes of congratulate him Michael James -- cheering for Michael will play when he made a special teams tackler encouraging -- cabinet. But me into social. Network or social media thing you know this new age that we live in. All of his his experience and tweets were about me me me and I -- you might see the first player we've seen cut from the 49ers because of his program. Maybe maybe the first we've ever seen. What's difficult about this team Brandon Jacobs not the only when he lets not forget Alex Smith lost his job through no fault of his we haven't seen much of Vernon Davis at all this season other than as a blocking tight -- their other veteran players on this team. -- not been getting the playing time that they've had in years past and that's what's been so different about this team it truly is the best players that they think can get them the wind. Every week and into the playoffs and it's not always. Pretty guy and -- Brandon Jacobs was a lot of us players at least you know that the guys who are paid good money to make these kinds of decisions they signed Brandon Jacobs for. Are healthy tend to change about one point two million I think it was or what went one million. In the off season. With a 150000. Dollar signing bonus 950. Thousand guaranteed or in base salary this is after the Giants released him so now Brandon Jacobs. Has basically. Had the the door. Slammed in his face now like two different teams in less than a year. I'm pleased to meet you about Vernon Davis not be good player I didn't mean -- that I just meant that they have been able to use him like they had in years past and that's going to be very difficult as well. -- rare insight though by Jim Harbaugh is an area that you like kind -- ready to prove he really doesn't. Speak about his players' faults to humans he tends to gloss over that and focus on -- positives and attribute that of course there is ready to eat fruit but I think it's very forthcoming that he'd like to be calling cabernet. -- played in and out of the huddle out of the huddle quicker break the huddle quicker get so line of scrimmage quicker as well as manage to play clock well. Yeah I think that's understandable when you look at the 49ers on Sunday. They used five timeouts in the game probably should have used another time out before the end of the first half. But for those time outs were because of that because they were the play clock was running down in Jim Harbaugh not Colin -- predict was the one who was out. What the official nearest to the forehand side like calling a timeout talent gap and it was not even looking at the play clock so. I think that's part of that whole understanding him. You know -- as a young quarterback we he knew that there was going to be this kind of growing pains so he's learning how to play the position the NFL level. And that's one area where he can definitely improve it's just the overall understanding. Of the the process of getting the play call lane getting the team up to the line of scrimmage making all the adjustments that. As -- will be required at camp. Ended getting to snap. In time to run the plays so get the other -- for an excuse was on a kind of -- if -- challenge calls are right now -- -- do you need. To clean up a lot of things as it relates to time outs and clocked at the play clock. Management. And that kind tampering does do well as well we've seen in line deep balls as well his ability to run I mean his running ability in the playoffs and it's a beautiful watch putts. This Sunday they go against the Patriots and everybody knows Bill Belichick very get it fine young quarterbacks drinks and trying to scheme against and take an away game and their weaknesses as well and exploit their weaknesses so. This is going to be a great test for calling cabinet when -- -- to -- -- he's so talented he always wanted to see how great athletes Reiss of the -- I think it will be fascinating and I think it would no matter what happens -- cap predict we'll come out of this as a better quarterback you'll have more experience to see. To lean on and I think that'll help him going into another rough environment -- another rough road environment the follows me against Seattle I just think that. However he plays against the Patriots he will be the quarterback for the 49ers against Seattle and that's a very. Tough game for him just because I -- these this is that it. -- true goal two game stretch for the 49ers as they try to first. Wrap up the NFC west in its second ball. Try to get that number two seed which means a first round bye in the playoffs and home divisional games so it should be. Very fascinating to see our pollen count predicted that offense response because right now. When you look at the bottom line of what that offense did against the Dolphins on Sunday. There's really not -- no difference to me than what you'd expect from an Alex Smith. Very similar very similar but I think that -- huge difference that you step up the running ability that happening as but also. I think the whole field opens up -- and throw outside the numbers he can throw deep and he does. Like you'd expect. And it that you would expect there to be more results. Because the field now should be spread out a little bit more where it would. -- all they can use all. -- all quadrant of the field. With him at quarterback and I think that. Is one of the reasons why -- Michael -- has now stepped into that number two role and he's a shift gear that Newton likes running in space that they. That will benefit the Michael James more than any. He's also very good receiving back which I think it is another threat for defenses to try and stop when you do that this offense can you give a little space for you to rent or taxes. It is a dual threat is certainly we saw the benefit for Frank Gore and the Dolphins yeah we certainly did so. Yet Briere showed a few new wrinkles with the very. Balanced offensive. Plan with them that three in essence three backs that was it Canada. A reversal wishbone type of thing with the the the backs on either side and then James behind James and sometimes score behind -- for me so -- there's only the prayers are always showing these things. And they're facing a defense that will always showed you things this week they face the Patriots. One last question for you this is an area where you and I disagree because I know -- -- negated by don't know well now because it might type I don't wanna be Manny -- you know and get it. It -- here the other. -- that. I I disagree a little bit I I understand -- is the starter insurance adjusters certainties for the legacy but. When -- scenario I could see if he struggles mightily against the Patriots the Patriots can really exploit his weaknesses as you say and that game. Does not -- well. And it is he acts -- another strong game and then they go up to Seattle no doubt the loud ST minute I'll ask any player placement if the louder than any down. Is Seattle stadium -- so loud Alex had experience there are players say that they think that they pump. Crowd -- and to make it -- I could foresee Alex once again returning. As a starter get playing time that he was tied in the playoffs are on the line and realize 49ers close against the Cardinals. You you wanna get happening that experience and stand but I can also understand if -- were active. Is -- to start the first playoff game. Of the game in Seattle got it game fifteen. To polite associate I think once you -- this final have been doing a lot of sport you're seeing it he just absolutely falls on -- -- -- And mud is in his face mask -- he just adds the -- I don't I don't. If it comes down to a half game between Seattle and forty niners going up to Seattle and cap Riddick had problems against the Patriots. Alex has that experience and yet you know receiver Hart early and put him in for part of the game -- needed a boy. I think that and Jim Harbaugh would would be seen as -- very wishy -- coach. -- I just I don't always said the players it gives us the best chance. Like that if that's an -- arises it may not this could be -- yeah I I I can't see it and made any immediate he struggles for fourth or quarters against the Patriots. And maybe it happening is absolutely falling on his -- through the first half against Seattle. Maybe there's a change at halftime up -- Seattle but I really. I I don't foresee that happening I'd be really surprised if if that was the case but. That's where I could see it wears you would be absolute six. Six quarters of absolute meltdown. Must have liked to have a ball and I don't happy. So that you agree with that but now I don't I don't know it's -- that makes it isn't it says he's century ones. Jim Harbaugh -- that that decision. Actually one's -- got on the field started playing well then it became a decision. This is over left a lot of debate conversation and it's it's fun. Allen plays off what outlined here and other okay is -- I mean he really -- -- next Emery in Santa Clara CSN Bay Area dot com.
