Hit the ice NHL. More bad news I'm sick and tired talk about every time we talk about it at some Nelson they're they're calling now 526 games are gonna miss they're done through December 30. 43% of their games are going to be gone the National Hockey League is they're on the precipice of adding another season. And I think that is brutal all right let's bring an -- Sharks insider Kevin -- he's been following this as best he can't. Up until now on Kevin with the news of today. Hot. What are the chances we're really gonna see NHL regular season hockey in this season. You know Jim I still think the chances are good despite the ridiculous and even bizarre nature that of these negotiations. You can't deny the fact that they have inched closer together on a lot of key topic since this whole mess began almost three months ago. And really I just come back to it to the same thing over and over again. They can't be that stupid. Turn to cancel a second season and eight years I just think that statement -- both sides realize they have to have some sort of season in some way shape or form. In order to really to save the business because if you lose a second season and eight years you're really in trouble a lot of teams are going to be in trouble. I I love hockey -- open about my love for the game of hockey but I got to dolls ones Gary Bettman Dolphin Stadium the voodoo doll is a Donald figured out what. Dallas should have more pins in it wanna go home go to bed tonight. Well that that's had to be right now I mean the easy answer is both of home. Obviously I don't think either side. Is exonerated. -- you know that they're -- they're trying to win a PR battle still. We look at what happened last week Donald -- comes out and says that he thinks the close to a deal and then five minutes later he takes the podium again says no we're not close. And NEC Gary got an up there any -- says he says the same thing we're not I should say -- they were close Bettman said they're not close. So they can't even agree if they're close or not so. At this point I don't think anyway I think they're both the blame a little bit obviously either figure heads that min is doing with the owners tell renewed fears telling with the players tell -- do. So at this point you you know they're both to blame as far as I can. -- until they both get more pins -- I I go on the go to that are 43% of the games have been canceled as of right now if we're in any hopes of seeing some level of NHL hockey. How many games the need to play for a season to have a level of integrity. If I'm a fan. Seeing -- team at the end of the season Kevin carry the most storied. Trophy and all of American prepared North American professional sports lord Stanley's chalice. We'll use the word integrity and Estes team worthy Gary venues last week he said if we're gonna have a season events integrity. He can't see it being less than 48 games they had in 1994958. Came to agreement on January 11 they started at 84018 season on January 12 so. When Bettman said that last week can light bulb went off a lot of people says here saying that. They're gonna have to have at least a 4018 season here. And that gives us you know about another month to come to agreement so I don't see them. Have anything less the 48 game season. Just because of the simple fact as you said and as Gary Bettman said it would it would lack integrity really if it was lesson that quick plug for no one likes to see games and NHL venues. I know the Bulls are playing down -- what he does -- insight into what's going on down there December 17 San Cisco Bulls are gonna play game and HP pavilion so. I don't really know much more than that other than I don't know what kind of crowd we're gonna get I would expect that a lot of Sharks fans if you do to come out and -- the professional game and even maybe just missed going HP pavilion for Sharks game. They are going to be playing down there obviously they usually play the cow palace but they're gonna shift one of the games to -- people billions and there's an affiliation between the Bulls in the Sharks and that's a good thing as well Kevin -- great job -- Sharks in -- you -- and -- CSN Bay Area dot com.
