It's definitely quite an entertaining press conference out in Oakland as an -- inside the hot -- Brodie Brazil joined by my other favorite TD that would be Billy Beane. General manager of the Oakland a's and hey Billy. Baseball aside and everything else aside even with translation you could really sum that -- heroes personality. And what he said this afternoon. Yeah you're right rodeo was you know something that was consistent with -- all of the -- work we did he'll be on the scouting reports and talking to players who knew him. People who -- guys who play with a -- said he was a very very popular guy I was teammates had a great personality love to play the game. And did she saw some of the press conference which I know you did. Hit that came out today and you -- until the masters it was the same way -- he fit right in right away. Until you struggled last year getting your assessment is from Cuba now procuring hero from Japan. What can you say about the depth and the reach of the -- international scouting abilities. You know we analysts and it certainly I think in today's game you have to be over 30% of major league baseball players come from outside the United States so. I think to be competitive you need to be. Involve the international market but I think a lot of credit really goes. To a couple people we've really focused. -- candidates who is now overseeing the entire scouting of St. Louis Cardinals -- really. Laid the foundation for international department here. And that's been taken over by us and -- and then both -- have done a tremendous job. How -- with the other scouts Billy Owens who's my director of a player personnel so it is an area of focus it's one area. The last few years we felt like we needed -- more involved in and I think that. Some what you see today and my issue -- join us as a result of. They're going Nakajima Scott eleven seasons of Japanese Baseball under his belt. That being said you look at a lot of the field he's played on their artificial turf how much of a realistic adjustment. Is it going to be now that he's here stateside and he's gonna see a lot of grass and dirt in those balls may take different -- in front of him at the shortstop position. Well the word and I don't know if you guys got the -- were actually good because of this her change you know artificial turf for several. That down the other. What area -- say it's a good question it's a fair question when he's played all different types of surfaces so. You know will be an adjustment I'm sure a little bit. But he did play in the WBZ a part of the Japanese team in 2009 of one at all and natural grass and if there is any adjustment at we think you will make it very quickly. Billy lastly this between you and assess but this Bartolo call loan and now here -- Nakajima you're gonna have three players in your clubhouse that require the use of such a translator. But it still seems that there's no chemistry issues and he could fit in very well we already saw him do a bit of the Bernie -- in his introductory press conference. Everybody's got a pretty good feeling that he's gonna fix. Yeah you know we felt the same way and headed there the more -- I said when we talk to people. Nelson said the same thing amendment and will listen within a minute yesterday launch. We have lunch yesterday -- -- Jack London square and then he's really quick to smile he's got a good. Pretty biting sense of humor and -- you guys know our clubhouse site you will fit in nicely analysts and would you a lot of wins. You have a tendency to created have a culture and women who I think we should build a good make sure he's going to be a -- big part of it. -- we appreciate the time any insight thanks for joining us here in the hot stove. Thanks --
