So here we are thirteen years later bringing back missed Dallas so Rose Bowl memories of New Year's Day 2000 absolutely think. That pac twelve championship game there's a lot of the line the chance to get back to Pasadena something every player. That goes any school pac ten or pac twelve for big Big Ten. -- accomplished and it's got to be special for you may be bittersweet as the last Stanford quarterback to play in a row as well obviously the game. Didn't go exactly as you would have would have preferred but you know he area are you get to calling it now the second time around say how little bittersweet I think you're right there. The chance to go there with all the guys worked so hard hit as a senior the previous four years of eight. The college career. It you know we we came out didn't play very well against Wisconsin Roseville couple key injuries but watching this team I think it's it's another special group of guys have fought back. Overcome a lot of adversity. You look -- for five years ago when this team. To sit here now the third straight BCS game at great accomplishment I think they're focused on. Winning this game something we were able to do 2000. Yet you know you can't even begin to compare these two teams because it's almost laughable I mean your team was awful defensively. I mean literally one of the worst of the worst offensive team in the country wound up in the Rose Bowl. Clearly that's not the case with the current person no it's flip flopped a little bit we had a great offense averaged almost forty points a game and defense statistically wasn't great. They did a great job getting turnovers creating sacks creating big plays and I think we use that springboard. More points on offense but I think the similarities are in it. Very a lot of experience senior players in the key positions a couple of young guys sprinkled in quarterback Kevin Hogan. Just his fifth start. -- But certainly. Team that takes great pride in what they've accomplished similar. What we -- in 2000 Hogan's make it all you guys look -- -- every quarterback in existence right he comes off the off the shelf and -- beach or straight ranked teams and now a starter was able to get simple it's like somebody asked me what advice I can get less. Nothing he's already beaten or more he's already played in a beat more ranked teams and I didn't my entire. Career so I think it's the maturity that he's shown you athletic ability. And the ability to make plays and big. If the situation has really enabled this offense this entire team to turned the corner and accomplish what they did you set -- -- Four straight wins against ranked teams are crazy yeah. So you've got an interesting match up of Stanford -- Wisconsin two teams that like to do pretty much exactly the same thing how do you see this game shaking. Well I think you have to give the edge -- Stanford and Wisconsin has five losses on the season they've lost some close games a couple games in overtime. Late in the season they like to load up the offense with offensive line offensive linemen up front sometimes seven or eight guys similar what Stanford does it's a run first. -- maybe third for a run first and second best maybe thirds type of offense similar what we -- Wisconsin back in 2000. With Ron -- but.
