Sammy out coming back here at the Georgia down the 49ers are going to New Orleans they're going to a Super Bowl and Matt you've -- this team for eighteen years and you're going to your first Super Bowl as well it. What was interesting about this when. Is it it was unlike any others for the 49ers to season -- overcome their largest deficit. To come back and beat the Falcons and then also they became only second team in NFL history to win a conference title game inside. And make it to the grand finale I guess you keep Sammy this is a good win for this team just because he had done it this way before. Does a great win and I mean Alex as we talked about deal with the 49ers had so many comebacks last season and they should they had -- well. They saved the best for last when they were down seventeen up and the thing that impressed me the most. Was what they did on that next drive early in the second quarter they stuck with the running game so many times it seems like we're always saying what why did they get away from the running game will decide they did it. They were patient. -- that great Roman called a very good game either -- seeing -- defense of coordinator makes some great adjustments the defense played well in the second half to give the offense. The opportunity to win this game. And what you say about Frank Gore a guy who's been through so many down times that the for an -- he was the best player on some really bad teams for him to be the guy. To scored 22 half touchdowns really feeding us send off to the forty hours ago the Super Bowl. I thought that drive the second quarter for the 49ers was also key because that Falcons had controlled the clock for more than eleven and a half minutes in the first quarter. And then they go up seventeen -- nothing bad defense needed a break in the 49ers offense chewed up. Almost seven minutes of clock on that eighty yards or eighty yard drive that they got some contributions from players. That they haven't had in the past few games -- Michael James his first career touchdown Vernon davis' first touchdown since in the Chicago game back in November. Mean they really were out of reliant on players that they hadn't. Able to use before January -- -- had a pretty game in mutilated in anti Dixon gets in for one play and it's a big play it's a New York City picks up a first down so. On a thirty short. -- he was a team effort in high what I like Doug -- cap predicts performance was that he did not force the issue. Talk about a guy that's poise under pressure we rushed for a 181 yards last week. Everybody was talking about his running what he needed this game he. Gave the ball up to frankly too precious like Africa only only one designed -- still so he saw that in crashing down or in in third. Saying out there in the read is you get to Frank Gore any kept given it to them and kept giving it to him and -- the right play. He didn't lose his poise the team. Remain patient and. They are innocent and I beat the the defense remained patient as well Ralph Brown of course covering Julio Jones in that second touchdown in the left corner of the end zone. It was tight coverage it was good coverage was just an excellent throw by Matt Ryan and a great -- by Julio Jones and asked him. Is it going to be that kind of night he said no because we're gonna have our chances too in the secondary this defense in the second half they they look they met that challenge. There was the one the first touch other religions touchdown. What's it -- average and -- the they made them earn all that stuff feel there was a play that you know to jungles and had his hands on in and I believe is Roddy White took it away in. Julio Jones made some fantastic plays -- Matt Ryan is putting the ball where he had to so. You know as much as people were sitting at home thinking -- that forty our secondary -- they tightened things up. You gotta give credit to the Falcons they were phenomenal in that first half. And the 49ers. Defense was equally phenomenal in the second half green there and then we see of course interception by -- caller asked him. You hate how did you finally read that able to get a jump on the ball and it really helped that I think support had a sack before and probably -- Matt -- got some pressure on -- little bit before. And those are the kind of adjustments the younger players are making too he ended the last play of the last sequence of the game you know the defense had to hold on for dear life. Ended Ahmad Brooks bats down a third down pass and then Navarro Bowman and maybe liver is hands on a modern now. But they had that place sniffed out they knew metric setting what they were gonna do how they're gonna do it there's a minor adjustment that the Falcons made it. But Bowman was in the right spot to make the play so. And then he -- I'm Bob Watson at the final minutes here -- final seconds. And what does it take -- to -- great punt by he and he leads hill I mean what a fantastic pressure -- To pin -- the return into the sideline that they do when you look back -- this one I mean there's there's a lot of people who did heavy lifting for the 49ers to win this game.
