By chronicle live presented by Farmers Insurance rolls on take a look at the lawyers also are you see it David -- he'll be going on -- -- NBA all star game. It's been since the 9697. Season. The Warriors had someone go that was -- free well back in 9293. I was doing some games on the radio for the Warriors they had Hardaway and Mullen two guys going. From the same team let's give the Warriors conversation rolling right now the general manager of the Golden State Warriors is Bob Myers joins us here on chronicle live let's start with David Lee that is. Great news for the organization how proud are you of this proud very proud of the team and and and especially David to east. He's always been viewed him as a as a numbers guy without the winning. But this year he's been able to combine numbers with winning and that's a testament to our team our coaching staff all the players around and buy that for us it means a little bit more. Because we haven't had one in so long was he just reference I mean. -- 1516. Years. It's it's a blank wall if you go to practice facility it gets stops it's for you well. And you see ninety sevens. But but I'm very happy -- well deserved for David how much is this another building block to putting the Warriors back on the NBA -- the real NBA map for people think about you guys they get some representation. It's really a large events for the NBA yeah I think it's. Doesn't happen again without us winning. Because we've had players -- in the past that have had individual success numbers wise. And been recognized individually but it's never correlated the winds. And now well with the fact that the team has been moderately successful it allows us to have the conversations about David Lee and and fortunately you know curry who is. I believe pretty close to make it as well and then and now. To me deserved to make it but around it's great that we have a guy in there. It's a chance for the lawyers to kind of show who we are national spotlight well let's pick up on the -- current pace of this puzzle 'cause I think a lot of warrior fans are gonna agree with you and say you know what. We kind of got -- and -- -- guys in the all star game sort of comes to stuff Corey what do you think was his total that but he just couldn't get over you know it's him I think competition. Position was a little bit tougher and that's not take anything away from David it it's tough at the forward spot to but I think that. Staff was up against some guys that in in my opinion. He deserved to be in this game and and you know you never really know because it's voted on by the coaches and and I believe that. That's probably who should vote on who should be the all stars so. Never know how good things out played out but Adam I know stats and he's is he's a guy that's gonna probably take some like this and it'll just motivate him even even more how much do you and Mark Jackson politics for your guys. You know I don't personally do as much because it's voted on by the coaches so would be a little bit out of character for me to call of the Western Conference coach and -- for a player but I know amongst the coaches. There's a camaraderie. And they talk about it. I don't know how much candor they speak to oh on on that but that I know there's there's dialogue back and forth and everybody pushes for their guys. But the thing that I think you know if you ask people around the league about Stephan curry. And you probably interviewed him and pat and that around and he is by far and and be around him as long as I have. Nobody would say negative word about the guys I mean one of the most genuine humble caring people on and off the court supremely talented down. Players to deliver -- in the NBA so. Tonight he's had the guy you root for I'm happy he's been healthy I think I think he's happy -- I mean in light of even something like this not going his way. I know he wants to win and he's he's winning now for the first time in his career so I think overall it will be fun I publish talk about some other things and put the Warriors back on that NBA map. Win over Oklahoma City at home maybe the biggest home win of the season you defeated the heat's. And the Clippers only indeed seem to beat those three big name teams what does that say about this years Warriors. Well it says that we're capable and says that we're capable it doesn't mean that we can. Rests on our laurels or believe that that we can do it every night because having David Lee was quoted saying we've also. Might be going through this loss to Sacramento twice in Orlando fight keep it perspective very existence of who we are I mean we can't roll the ball out and and have Warriors are. Our chest and expect to go out and -- we have to actually compete and play but the home crowd him. In a big game like that. Even even -- city's general manager after the game who's considered one of the best in the league. Texted me and said man your crowd is unique and they and they have actually one of the most amazing crowds and Oakland city in the and they should. But everybody comes in our building. From from from the other side playing against us feels that and our players feel for that matter so it's a big events. What's going on you just told that story about Sam pressed to tell him that we've heard this story to tell us about a referee tells you -- to -- -- crowd and we know the story Pat Riley pulling you aside and Miami insane. We see something different is -- -- Golden State Warriors what is this something different how does that make you feel when those entities are all coming together -- point out -- good I don't know. I mean sometimes. He just work hard every day and hope that things. Break the right way but I think Jim our ownership from Joseph they could to Peter Guber. And this is prior to me coming on board. Made a decision to invest in people and find the right people to help run the organization and that that starts from. People on the business side and on the basketball side coaching staff players. Deciding to one the goal is to win it's always to win. But to have people in place. That are gonna work and do it from every single angle to to achieve that goal and I think that's been the mindset so. Not to say we have it all figured out because we don't have a long way to go. But I think they've made a decision invest in people to get the organization -- they wanted to be. And let the fans have never gone away. I mean a testament to the fans even when things. Weren't going as well the fans believed in them. Really they deserve more credit than anybody -- for sticking around speaking of those fans they have seen Andruw -- it. They've seen him raw.
